Pink Tutu Milan: Wednesday 2009-04-08 - Post Number 722

Buongiorno, my darlings! It’s Wednesday, and you know what that means… time for another Pink Tutu Milan adventure!

This week I've been swept off my feet by the vibrant energy of Milan, and as I sit here, twirling in my latest pink tulle find, a little blush silk number from a quaint boutique on Via della Spiga, I’m simply buzzing with excitement to share my adventures with you!

But first, a quick word about my travels. I managed to snag a prime spot on a scenic train ride from Derbyshire. It was the most perfect way to arrive in Milan, the views rolling by like a watercolour painting. I’m finding the Italian countryside to be the perfect backdrop for my pink tutu, wouldn’t you agree?

Oh, speaking of pink tutus! The other day, while I was wandering the cobbled streets of the city centre, I spotted the cutest little girl sporting a pink tutu. Her hair was tied back with a bright pink ribbon, and she was hopping around with her mum like a little ballerina in a fairytale. I swear, her eyes sparkled with pure joy! And wouldn’t you know it, she noticed my own tulle masterpiece and gave me the sweetest little smile. I simply melted!

Now, I know I may be a bit obsessed with tutus (if you haven’t already guessed) but they truly embody the joy, the grace, and the magic that dance brings to our lives. I’m a strong believer that everyone should feel free to express their inner ballerina – and for me, there's no better way to do that than with a vibrant, fabulous pink tutu!

But let’s dive back into my Milan adventure, shall we?

Wednesday's Delights: Ballet, Fashion, and Food

This Wednesday in Milan has been pure bliss. It kicked off with an absolutely enchanting performance of Swan Lake at Teatro alla Scala. The stage was breathtaking, with opulent sets and exquisite costumes. It was the most exquisite ballet performance I’ve seen in ages. The dancers were incredible, their movements fluid and graceful. Every twist, every pirouette, sent shivers down my spine. It was a truly magical experience.

Of course, after such a fantastic show, it was time for a little fashion indulgence! I discovered the most adorable vintage boutique just off Corso Buenos Aires. It was like a treasure trove of designer finds! I nabbed a pair of stylish scarlet pumps (perfectly matching my scarlet tulle tutu – another new arrival!), and a bewitching black velvet handbag – my new best friend!

Later on, I found myself exploring the charming Navigli canals. This cobbled area feels so romantic with its charming canals and little bridges. I couldn’t resist stopping for some gelato – the flavour of the day was Pistacchio (divine!) while enjoying the melodic sound of a street musician strumming a guitar.

I feel truly lucky to have been in Milan during this wonderful week. The city has such a lively, dynamic energy. And that, my darlings, is something you simply have to experience firsthand.

Pink Tutu Milan: Upcoming Events!

You all know I love to get you involved with my travels!

  • Friday Night's Fun! - I'll be dancing the night away at an open-air ballet class under the stars. They’ll be setting up right in the Piazza del Duomo. I'm thinking my turquoise tutu is perfect for this! Fancy joining me for some pirouettes?

  • Saturday Night Showcase! - My heart is beating a bit faster because I’ll be performing at a small theatre near the Navigli! I'll be performing a beautiful lyrical piece to Chopin. If you are in the neighbourhood, please drop in for a spot of ballet, a little shopping, and perhaps a delicious bite to eat.

Fashion Find of the Week: A Pink Tutu Symphony

Remember my pink tutu obsession? Well, let me introduce you to the love of my life: a pink tutu that will make your heart skip a beat! I found it at the most exquisite designer boutique in Milan. It’s made from layers and layers of shimmering pink tulle, accented with tiny sparkling beads, each catching the light in a million magical ways. I wore it earlier today for a coffee break near the Duomo and let me tell you, heads turned. It truly was an explosion of pink bliss! I will definitely share a photo of it with you in my next post, so stay tuned!

The Pink Tutu Travel Tip of the Week

When exploring Milan, be sure to pack comfy shoes! This city is a paradise for strolling. You'll be able to cover so much ground! My favorite part of travelling around is hopping onto the Milan trams, watching the city fly by. It’s like a fairytale, but with an espresso stop along the way!

That's all for now, my darlings. Remember, be fabulous, be bold, and most importantly, be happy. And remember, everyone can wear a pink tutu! See you next week for another pink-tastic adventure!

Ciao Bella!
