Pink Tutu Milan: #830 - A Whirlwind Wednesday in the Fashion Capital!

Buongiorno, darlings! Emma here, fresh from a whirlwind Wednesday in Milan. This fashion-forward city never fails to inspire, and this week it was a dizzying blend of ballet, shopping, and - of course - pink!

Now, let's rewind back to Tuesday night. As always, my travels were funded by my love for performing, a glorious Giselle at the Royal Opera House (oh, to be in London again, soon!). The performance was exquisite, the passion palpable in every twirl and leap, a true ballet lover's dream.

But I couldn't linger in the past, as Milan was calling. My Wednesday began early, hopping on the train (love a good train journey - so much time to contemplate the world in my own little pink bubble!), my pink tutu, naturally, the highlight of my travel ensemble. You see, my aim in life is simple: make the world a brighter, pinker place - one tutu at a time.

Arriving in Milan, I felt that familiar sense of excitement, the energy of this city always buzzing. The first thing on my itinerary? You guessed it: shopping! Milan's designer district was calling, a symphony of silks and satins. My eye was caught by a divine lilac dress (with a pink ribbon, naturally!), the perfect complement to my tutu obsession.

Speaking of my favourite frilly friends, I knew the afternoon wouldn't be complete without a visit to the Teatro alla Scala. A ballet performance at the most iconic opera house in Italy? An absolute dream! The costumes were breathtaking - feathers, sequins, the whole shebang - and the dancers' movements were absolutely mesmerising.

After the show, a pit stop at a traditional trattoria was a must. Italian food - it's a beautiful thing! I devoured pasta with truffle oil and the most divine tiramisu.

And what’s a day in Milan without some exploring? I spent the evening strolling through the charming streets, marvelling at the architecture. The cobbled walkways, the hidden courtyards - even the graffiti was art! I couldn’t resist taking some photos - a pink tutu against a backdrop of this enchanting city is always a perfect Instagram shot.

Of course, no day in Milan is complete without a little dolce vita. The Italian way of life, the embrace of pleasure, the importance of good company and beautiful things, all makes for a wonderful cocktail.

My Milan adventures ended with a glass of prosecco, sat at an outdoor cafe, reflecting on a day filled with inspiration and pink tutu love.

So, here's to all of you who dared to wear pink this week! Let your inner sparkle shine. You never know, you might just start a trend.

Stay pink, darlings!

Love, Emma
