Pink Tutu Milan: Post #832 - Milanese Magic!

Buongiorno, darlings! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-clad blogger Emma, signing in from the fabulous fashion capital of the world: Milan!

This week, I’m bursting at the seams with excitement. Milan has swept me off my feet with its captivating energy and stylish charm. As I sit here sipping a cappuccino (topped with pink sugar, naturally!), I'm writing this post from the beautiful rooftop of my boutique hotel. The sun is shining, the city is bustling, and the aroma of freshly baked pastries is wafting through the air. Pure Milanese magic!

The Journey

I travelled to Milan by train, a scenic journey through the Italian countryside. It was like stepping into a Monet painting, with fields of emerald green, patches of vibrant wildflowers, and picturesque villages scattered along the way. I can't resist a good train journey. It's the perfect time to lose myself in a good book, doodle fashion sketches, and imagine all the exciting adventures that await in this stunning city. The only thing I wish I had packed was my tutu, but it seems I might just need to add an extra suitcase for my tutu collection as I discover so many outfits in each city!

Pink Tutu Milan

This week's post is about Milan, a city that's just bursting with life. My week in Milan has been filled with everything a tutu-wearing fashionista could wish for – incredible performances, world-class shopping, and the most scrumptious gelato!

Thursday: La Scala Opera House - My Dream Come True!

Last Thursday was truly unforgettable. I’d been longing to experience the world-famous La Scala Opera House since forever. You can imagine my joy when I secured tickets to a spectacular performance of Verdi's "Rigoletto"! The theatre itself is breathtaking, with ornate gilded decorations, plush velvet seats, and a history that stretches back centuries. It felt like stepping into a fairytale. I spent the evening lost in the powerful drama and breathtaking music, my heart filled with wonder. I couldn’t stop myself from pirouette-ing on the way out (just a little)!

Friday: A Ballet Extravaganza

Following the enchanting La Scala opera, I treated myself to an evening of ballet at Teatro alla Scala. It was an exceptional performance by the Teatro alla Scala ballet company, with their dazzling grace and incredible technical skill. They truly made the most of this amazing stage! Each dancer held the audience spellbound as they glided through breathtaking movements. It’s safe to say that my ballerina heart is positively skipping with joy.

Saturday: Shopping for Inspiration!

What trip to Milan would be complete without indulging in some serious retail therapy? It's no surprise this city is a paradise for fashion lovers! On Saturday, I took myself on a whimsical shopping spree through the chic streets. From the upscale boutiques along Via Montenapoleone to the independent shops hidden in charming backstreets, I found so many delightful surprises.

Sunday: Sunday Brunch with a Twist

Of course, my trip wouldn't be complete without a delightful Sunday brunch with friends. The hotel's rooftop brunch was the perfect way to soak up the warm sunshine, sip on mimosas (I had to ask for a splash of pink grenadine, naturally!) and indulge in exquisite French pastries. It was truly the ideal way to wind down a week filled with adventure.

Finding my Tutu Style

My favourite shop so far? You will never guess - a vintage shop tucked away on a quaint little cobbled street! It felt like a time capsule, overflowing with luxurious fabrics, stunning jewellery, and exquisite hats, all waiting to be discovered. The moment I stepped inside, I knew I'd found my next tutu inspiration! It was the kind of shop that sparked my imagination and gave me the chance to envision a whole new era of Pink Tutu fashion. I was inspired to explore more historical fashion and its relevance in today’s styles.

My Milan Musings

This week, I was so inspired by all things Milanese – from the iconic architecture to the exquisite art to the exquisite style. I couldn’t help but think about the amazing impact that fashion, dance, and culture have on our lives. The colours, shapes, sounds, and movements create an immersive experience that’s impossible to describe. I’m completely immersed!

As I’ve wandered the cobbled streets of Milan, I’ve seen more tutus on display than ever before. It’s making my tutu-loving heart skip a beat! I see more pink than ever and, more importantly, a greater sense of colour and fun in everyday fashion. The way Milan embraces both fashion and performance is incredibly exciting. It's truly inspiring, and I hope to bring some of that magic to my next tutu creation!

Next week… a Tutu Twist!

I have exciting news! Next week, I'm planning a "pink tutu photo shoot"! I'm going to showcase some stunning locations in Milan, capturing my unique take on this vibrant city, and, of course, my pink tutus will play a starring role. So keep your eyes peeled on my blog for a whole new burst of colour and inspiration!

Until next Monday, keep your tutus twirling and remember, dear friends, you’re all radiant in your own way!

Stay fabulous, darlings!

Emma x
