From Derbyshire to Duomo:
As many of you know, my pink tutu and I love exploring the world through the lens of ballet, and funding our travels through enchanting performances. After a whirlwind tour across Europe (did I tell you about the breathtaking views from the Brandenburg Gate?!), I arrived in Milan earlier this week.
Now, let's be honest, it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Milan blog without a mention of my trusty mode of transport – the glorious Italian tram! Oh, the memories of my previous trips: the jingle of the bell as we pulled into a bustling station, the laughter of tourists and locals mingling, and the stunning city vistas as we traversed cobbled lanes and tree-lined avenues. Milan trams have become a significant part of my adventures, taking me from my charming hotel, nestled in a quiet corner of the city, to the heart of all the artistic and fashionable action.
An Ode to Ballet and Shopping:
This week has been an absolute dream! I caught a breathtaking ballet performance at Teatro alla Scala, the heart of Milan's opera and theatre scene. The sheer grandeur of the theatre, the passionate audience, and the spellbinding grace of the dancers, all combined to create an experience I'll treasure forever. The passion in the movements, the precision of each pirouette, the stories told through gestures – it was a ballet lover's paradise.
But, Milan's allure goes far beyond ballet. Its heart beats with a fashion pulse that sends every shopaholic into a joyful frenzy. The streets are alive with designers' boutiques, high-street treasures, and hidden vintage gems. Today, I went on a shopping spree in the charming Navigli district, where narrow canals lined with chic cafes and boutiques transport you back in time. And of course, I couldn't resist indulging in a few pink-tutu inspired outfits (shhh, don't tell my bank account!).
Milan's Delicious Delights:
Now, a trip to Milan is incomplete without savouring the incredible culinary delights. I treated myself to the most decadent tiramisu, topped with fresh berries, in a cosy cafe tucked away on a charming side street. And of course, no Milan adventure would be complete without a glass of fine Italian wine, preferably enjoyed on a sun-drenched terrace overlooking the city's iconic skyline.

Milan has truly cast its magic spell on me once again. The city's elegant charm, vibrant energy, and delicious delights have filled my heart with joy. It’s hard to leave, but I know my adventures in Milan have only just begun. There's so much more to see and experience – hidden art galleries, ancient churches, bustling markets, and of course, more captivating ballet performances to attend!
