Welcome back to my weekly Milan escapades, fellow tutu-lovers! It's Emma here, reporting from the vibrant city of Milan, where sunshine, shopping, and ballet bliss are guaranteed. This week has been absolutely divine - filled with captivating performances, dazzling fashion finds, and a sprinkle of Venetian romance (yes, you read that right!)
Pink Power on the Piazza!
My Milan journey started with a truly enchanting ballet performance. I just can't get enough of those delicate leaps and swirling pirouettes – it's pure magic! The theatre was alive with excitement, and I even spotted a few pink tutus twinkling in the audience. My own tulle masterpiece was of course, in full glory, creating a pink whirlwind as I twirled through the theatre halls. After all, isn't it a little pink magic that makes life so wonderful?
Fashion Finds and Gondola Dreams
The fashion scene here in Milan is simply electrifying! My wardrobe is undergoing a serious makeover - and it wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Milan blog post without a touch of shopping, would it? I discovered the most beautiful, feather-light pink silk scarf in a little boutique tucked away in a cobbled courtyard. It was a total bargain – a must-have for adding a touch of feminine chic to any outfit!
This week also saw me jetting off to Venice, the city of canals and gondolas. It's impossible not to feel enchanted by its ancient charm! I spent hours gliding through the narrow canals, soaking in the romance of it all, the warm afternoon sunshine highlighting the gorgeous pastel facades. I even found the most darling vintage shop full of pink tulle skirts - my heart skipped a beat!
A Twist of Pink in Every Corner
Milan truly is a city where every corner surprises. A local artisan market held the most gorgeous hand-crafted earrings, one pair sporting the cutest pink feather designs, naturally, they were coming home with me. I spent a happy afternoon watching skilled artists crafting exquisite pieces, their hands working with such passion and precision. You can always find something special, even if you just meander through the city streets!
And don't even get me started on the food! Milan is a food lover's paradise, offering a taste explosion around every corner. I tried the most divine pasta dish with pink cherry tomatoes and pesto – a burst of flavour with every mouthful! There's truly something to please everyone's palate in this city!
Travelling with Tutu Flair
The tram and train journeys around Milan have been filled with so much fun, especially when rocking my tutu! The friendly locals have been delighted to see me and even share their favourite city spots. I discovered a fantastic gelato shop nestled near a grand old train station, offering the most decadent, creamy strawberry gelato, the perfect treat after a long day exploring.
It wouldn't be a Pink Tutu Milan blog without sharing some of my fashion insights, right? A good pink tutu should always be the centerpiece, adding a splash of vibrant fun to your everyday attire. I've been styling my favourite tulle with oversized sunglasses, cute leather jackets and bold platform heels. A classic look that exudes feminine energy and just a touch of rockstar chic!
A Tutu Revolution!
Remember my mission, darling? To get everyone to wear a pink tutu! And my travels have sparked some tutu-tastic moments – I've seen more people than ever rocking their tulle. From smiling grandmas to dashing gentlemen, I even spotted a stylish couple, both dressed in pink tulle, holding hands on a bridge overlooking a glistening canal!
The pink tutu movement is spreading across the globe – and it's about time, I'd say! After all, why not add a sprinkle of magic and laughter to your day? What better way to show your personality, confidence and embrace the simple joys in life?

I know you all miss me dearly back in Derbyshire, especially with the exciting Pink Tutu Tea Party planned for September. It will be so much fun! Don't worry though, my Milan adventures aren’t quite finished. I have a thrilling week of theatre performances planned, more fashion shopping adventures and a date with another dreamy gondola! But fear not, my friends, I will be back to share all my fun escapades with you next week.
