My journey started with a ride on the city's tram - a vintage gem painted a bright scarlet red. A quick hop to the Scala Opera House and a sprinkle of that irresistible Italian magic: opera and fashion, history and beauty - Milan truly has it all!
Oh, to wear a pink tutu in the Duomo!
My daydreaming took me straight to the magnificent Duomo. Imagine it: standing in the heart of this breathtaking cathedral, bathed in the warm Italian sun, a pink tutu swirling around my legs! Now, imagine it again with the vibrant hues of stained glass illuminating my pink tutu, like a living masterpiece. Oh, the photos we could take! A moment captured forever: Emma the ballerina, and the Duomo.
Pink tulle for every taste
And the shopping! Milan is a shopper's paradise! I lost myself in the glorious maze of department stores and independent boutiques. Forget everything else: let your fingers glide over satins and chiffons, silks and chiffons. I spotted the most exquisite tulle skirt - imagine it, a powder pink, like a dream! I bought it, naturally. It just screamed 'Milan', 'Pink Tutu', and 'Ballet'.
My Milan, My Ballet, My Love!
Speaking of Milan and ballet, there is so much going on here, every night there are shows! This evening I'm heading to the Teatro alla Scala to catch the breathtaking Bolshoi Ballet. It's 'Swan Lake' and my heart is doing a double pirouette! The artistry, the skill, the sheer beauty - there's simply no feeling in the world quite like seeing a ballet masterpiece come alive. I can't wait!
I did think to myself that my little pink tutu would look just perfect among the lavish silks of the theater, wouldn't you? Oh to float into the Scala and cast my own magic on those who watch me walk in, in my beautiful tutu!
