Today, I'm whisking you away on a pink-hued journey through the streets of Milan. I hopped aboard a vibrant red tram this morning, a beautiful old-fashioned vehicle that whisked me through the heart of the city. As the sun dappled through the window, I was mesmerized by the elegance of the surrounding buildings and the energy pulsing through the streets.
This week, I’ve also taken a charming journey by train to Verona, a truly enchanting city that was straight out of Romeo and Juliet! The journey was picturesque, passing rolling hills and vineyards that seemed to stretch as far as the eye could see. The locals on the train were so kind and welcoming; they even helped me practice a few Italian phrases, though I must confess my Italian pronunciation could still use some work!

Ballet is a universal language, a beautiful expression that transcends words. This week, I was utterly enchanted by a performance of Swan Lake at the Teatro alla Scala. The theatre itself is a breathtaking masterpiece, a marvel of Italian architectural splendour. Shopping Splendour: The Runway Meets the Tutu
Milan is a paradise for fashionistas! Stepping into a Milanese boutique is like entering another world, where fashion and art come together to create a sensory feast. I found myself entranced by the colours, the textures, and the endless creativity on display. And, of course, I had to indulge in a few pink treasures to add to my growing tutu collection. You can't resist a pink tulle top, can you?
This week, I stumbled across a boutique that sells the most exquisite ballet shoes! I simply had to buy a pair to match my pink tutu – the perfect shoes for a Milanese ballerina, wouldn’t you agree?
Exploring the City's Culinary Delights
Milan, as they say, is the ultimate place for experiencing "La dolce vita." There is simply no end to the tantalising array of flavours to explore! From the creamy ricotta cheese served on fluffy focaccia bread to the delicate tiramisu made with a layer of sponge fingers, dusted with cocoa powder - my tastebuds have been dancing a waltz of delight.
