Pink Tutu Milan: Post #999 - Wednesday 2014-07-30 🩰🇮🇹

Ciao, darling tutu lovers!

It's your favourite pink-obsessed ballerina, Emma, reporting live from the fashion capital of the world - Milano! 🇮🇹 The sun is shining, the air is alive with the sounds of Vespa scooters, and I'm practically bursting with excitement to share all the amazing things I've discovered this week! 💖

Before we get into the fabulous fashion and the incredible ballet, let's have a quick catch up, shall we?

This past weekend was pure magic, my dears. I graced the stage at a delightful charity performance in the picturesque town of [Insert name of the picturesque town] in Derbyshire. A stunning setting, and the applause was deafening! 💥 The proceeds are going to help rebuild a local dance studio, so we were all thrilled to contribute. What better way to make the world a more beautiful place than with a dose of ballet? 💫

Speaking of beautiful things, can we talk about the fashion scene in Milano? It's simply breathtaking! Every shop window is a work of art, showcasing the latest creations from Italy's leading designers. And speaking of creations, my little heart was aflutter with joy in the charming [Insert name of a quaint Italian street] district this week. Imagine narrow, cobbled streets lined with chic boutiques, the scent of freshly brewed espresso filling the air, and little vintage shops hiding treasures on every corner! 👒 This little lane is like a treasure trove of fashion inspiration, where the most fabulous accessories can be found! You won't believe the dazzling earrings, vintage hats and exquisitely made handbags that I snapped up for myself. And for only 20 euro! I am in shopping heaven! 🙌

But of course, no trip to Milan would be complete without a dose of ballet. The Teatro alla Scala, which you'll all know is one of the most famous opera houses in the world, is currently presenting an exquisite ballet season, and I couldn’t possibly miss it! 🤩 I treated myself to a ticket for a stunning performance of Swan Lake. The set, the costumes, the talent, the passion - I'm practically swatting away clouds of tulle and feathers! 🪶 It was truly a remarkable experience!

But wait, there's more! I've been working with some incredibly talented ballet dancers from all over the world! We've been filming some super exciting street performances and rehearsals at the iconic [Insert a notable public landmark or venue in Milan] and it's giving me such a boost! You'll see them soon! 🤩 I'm so thrilled to share our passion for ballet with the whole world! We’re all looking forward to creating a [describe an artistic concept related to the dance video, eg: an evocative dance interpretation of the history of Milan]. I can't tell you how much fun we've been having. I can't wait to share all of it with you!

Let's take a quick break from ballet for a moment, my lovelies, to explore more of Milano! This city is known for its stunning architecture. The [insert name of an iconic architectural structure or landmark in Milan] is, of course, a must-see! Its intricate details and graceful lines leave me speechless! 🤩

I have a big confession, though! You know my absolute weakness, dear readers? I just can’t resist a scenic tram ride! 💛 Milano's trams are more than just a form of transport, they are a veritable ballet of their own! Weaving in and out of the bustling streets, gliding through hidden alleys, and taking me past all the city’s treasures - what’s not to love?! It's a perfect way to soak up the atmosphere and get a glimpse of the everyday lives of the Milanese people. 💖 Did you know that you can purchase a day pass and use all of Milano’s public transport? What a bargain! And I can guarantee that if you hop on a tram you will see at least one pink tutu on a day like today. 😉 I love a challenge!

Let me fill you in on some fascinating Milano tidbits! Did you know the city’s iconic Cathedral, the [Name of Milan’s Duomo], took almost 600 years to build?! It’s not just beautiful, it's also the second largest Gothic cathedral in the world! Can you believe it?! ✨ It is no wonder Milano is nicknamed “the city of style.” 🤩 It's almost impossible to not get caught up in the charm of this bustling Italian city. It’s a fascinating mixture of ancient and modern architecture with enough vintage and designer boutiques to tempt even the most frugal fashionista! The Italian people are so welcoming and the food… oh, the food! It is enough to make you swoon! 😍 And while you’re on the subject, let’s talk coffee! I love Italian coffee – it’s simply the best in the world. If you’re reading this, and haven’t visited Milano yet, my advice is, get a ticket!.

So, as the sun starts to dip below the horizon and cast long shadows over the cobbled streets, I'm heading for a spot of dinner at a charming [insert name of an interesting trattoria]. The aroma of garlic, herbs, and freshly baked bread wafts from the kitchens, making my stomach rumble. I am certain this city is hiding so many secret alleyways and culinary gems that I can't wait to discover! 🤫

Before I go, darling readers, I must ask a vital question!

*Are you ready for my next Tutu challenge? * 😉 You already know the drill! If you want to join me in a global tutus for all movement then here’s the deal. Take a fabulous picture of yourself, tag me @EmmaPinkTutu, post your entry using the hashtag #pinktutuchallenge, and join me in turning the world into one glorious pink tutu dream! 🤩

Stay tuned, lovelies. Next week, we're embarking on a train journey. I’ve heard there is a hidden village nestled amidst rolling Italian hills that’s a secret trove for the ultimate in vintage accessories and bespoke shoes. You heard that right! Bespoke shoes, handcrafted by an old master in his tiny workshop. The only problem is you need to speak Italian to even get a conversation started, let alone an appointment. This, of course, I do! 😂 A girl who speaks 4 languages will take on the Italian bespoke world, I say! 😉

I'm already daydreaming about the stories these vintage finds could tell! And who knows what other fabulous adventures are in store. 💖

Until next time, darlings. Keep dancing, keep smiling, and never be afraid to wear a pink tutu! 💖💖💖

Ciao!
