Buongiorno, darlings! ☀️

It’s Wednesday, the 1st of March, and the Pink Tutu has landed in Milan! 🚄 I’m positively buzzing with excitement – this is my first visit to this chic Italian city, and I'm already completely enamoured with the atmosphere, the food, the fashion, and…oh, yes…the trams! 🥰 But let's be honest, what’s more fabulous than trams? Pink tutus, obviously! 🎀

So, I thought, why not have a bit of fun and see if I can bring a touch of Derbyshire to the streets of Milano? Let's just say…my plan is to try to get the whole city wearing pink tutus by the end of the week. 😈 Is it too ambitious? Perhaps. But as they say, you’ve got to dream big! 💖

After a lovely train journey from Venice, where I was lucky enough to catch a delightful ballet show at the Teatro La Fenice, I was absolutely ready for a delicious Milanese adventure. First on my agenda: a gorgeous hotel right near the Duomo – I absolutely fell head over heels for its breathtaking courtyard, all fountains and flowers. This is how I knew Milan was going to be something truly special.

I can’t lie, though. After a long day travelling, a little bit of me time was in order. So I grabbed my copy of 'The Nutcracker’ and scampered up to my room, slipped into my fluffy pink bathrobe, and treated myself to a massive cup of hot chocolate. 🍫 Bliss!

You know, sometimes you just need to be enveloped in that pink-hued dream world, to get yourself ready for the adventures that await.

Ready for a little ‘Pink Power’ tour? This morning, I woke up feeling absolutely invigorated and positively bursting with energy. A full-blown ‘pink explosion’ on Milanese streets, anyone? Let’s just say that I set out wearing my most spectacular pink tutu, and I definitely didn’t shy away from a serious pink make-up situation! 💖

Firstly, I strolled down the street with my trusty tutu and trusty friend, my camera, snap-snap-snapping everything that caught my eye. 📸 I can't help myself. It's impossible not to be mesmerised by the streets of Milan! You’ve got the beautiful Duomo, towering above the city, all its ornate stone and glass dazzling in the sun. The old-school architecture, so much detail, the way the old buildings intertwine with new ones – I can't get enough. 😍

Now, let’s talk about those fabulous Italian trams. 🚃 It’s so much fun riding them! People watching, admiring the cityscape, all the while being whisked around in the comfort of a beautiful vintage vehicle… I could ride them all day! You know, it almost feels like I’ve been transported back in time. Just with a sprinkle of 21st-century magic, of course. 🤩

My mission to spread pink cheer around Milan has been in full swing today! I’ve wandered the city's charming backstreets, admired the stylish displays in shop windows, enjoyed the hustle and bustle of street performers, and met some wonderful, kind-hearted Milanese folks who loved the sight of a pink-tuted girl. 💕

Oh, and the foodie experience here is divine! I absolutely had to try some authentic pasta, pizza, and even an incredibly rich tiramisu… all devoured with the utmost delight! 🥰 And let’s not forget the delicious cappuccino I sipped at an open-air cafe – just watching the world go by, soaking up the city's rhythm and vibrancy. ☕

Now, the evening has arrived and it’s time for some ballet! Tonight, I'm going to Teatro alla Scala, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world. I just know it's going to be amazing. It’s an extraordinary mix of history, art, and culture and, oh, I simply can't wait for the performance!

But first, a little bit of pink tutu shopping in Milan, because there’s just something about Italian fashion that fills me with endless inspiration! 👠💄

I'm feeling rather excited about how this evening's going to pan out – you never quite know what amazing surprises Milan will have up its sleeve! 💖
