Hello lovelies! It's Emma here, bringing you all the pinkest, most twirly news from the fashion capital of the world - Milan, Italy!
My latest Italian adventure is fuelled by my love for the art of ballet, of course. You all know how I feel about the magic of twirling and leaping. This trip, I'm even more excited than usual.
Why? Because Milan is home to Teatro alla Scala, one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world! You can imagine how thrilled I am to see some breathtaking performances, even more magical in this historic theatre.
This week, my week is packed with exciting activities, including…
- A visit to the Museo Teatrale alla Scala. A must for any ballet lover! I just have to see where the history of the theatre is woven into the beautiful fabric of its future. I can almost imagine the stars of the past stepping onto that legendary stage! I'll be posting pics of my finds.
- A private ballet class in a stunning studio just across the river, where I can hone my pirouettes amongst the Italian sunshine. Just imagine, a bit of Italian ballet sunshine! I bet there's a hidden café nearby serving some delicious biscotti, too!
- Shopping for a new ballet leotard and pink tutu (what else? It’s in the name!) at a boutique near the Duomo. It needs to be something absolutely fabulous – and hopefully sparkly!
- Experiencing the Milanese lifestyle, exploring its beautiful squares, trying out a few of its stylish cafes, and soaking up all that fashion inspiration. Maybe I'll find a little pink Italian magic for my blog.
- Catching a performance at the Teatro alla Scala. I'm simply ecstatic. Can't wait to see some stunning choreography, incredible costumes, and the graceful movement of the world's top dancers! You know I’ll be documenting the experience for you with my best pink tutu shots.
Let’s talk about the joys of travel
One of my favourite things about travelling, and this includes in England, is exploring by train. It allows me to see the world from a different perspective, letting the world rush past my window like a blur of beautiful colours. It's so much more exciting than flying! Plus, I always pack my favourite travel pillow, because a comfortable train ride makes a big difference in reaching my destination feeling happy and refreshed.
Milan has a brilliant tram network! A super cheap and efficient way of exploring this enchanting city. Just hop on, take in the views, and imagine yourself waltzing through its grand boulevards!

And of course, during my trip, I won’t let a moment slip by without spreading the pink tutu love!
I can't tell you how amazing it is to see how people react when they see a pink tutu! It's almost as if it gives everyone permission to smile. There's this delightful sense of happiness in the air, an atmosphere of lightheartedness and magic that makes everyone's day a little brighter. And that's precisely what my blog is all about! It’s all about reminding everyone to live with a little sparkle, a touch of femininity, and a dash of playful fun.
And who knows, maybe by the end of my week in Milan, a few more people will have taken up my pink tutu challenge and embraced this joyful expression!

But let's rewind back to Derbyshire for a moment, where my adventures began. As you know, I fund my ballet journeys through my performances! You might find me at local community halls, libraries, even village squares - dancing my heart out to bring a touch of magic to everyone’s lives.
It is so lovely seeing the smiling faces, knowing I brought a little sunshine to someone’s day. And let's face it, we all need that every now and then!
