Pink Tutu Milan: Wednesday 2019-02-27 - #1238

Buongiorno from Milan, darling! It’s Wednesday, 27th of February, 2019, and it’s already been such a fabulous day! I just have to share every minute of it with you all!

For this week's Pink Tutu Milan blog, I'm in a gorgeous dusty rose tulle tutu, I can’t resist the blush tones of the colour scheme of this beautiful city. As you know, I'm always a sucker for a pretty pink, and this week I've really gone all out. My new fluffy tutu pairs beautifully with my pink leather biker jacket, a vintage Dior scarf (a little Parisian indulgence - I couldn't resist!), and of course, a pair of sparkling ballet pumps. I know, I know – you'd expect nothing less from your pink tutu-loving girl!

After all, we're in the fashion capital of the world, and I don’t want to let anyone down – so let's just say the whole look is screaming “chic,” “girly,” and “a touch of the divine,” all at the same time. twirls in the pink tulle

Tram Travels to a Ballet Dream:

The morning started, as it always does in this amazing city, with a ride on the tram. As we glide through the bustling streets of Milan, my little corner of the tram is an island of pink and feathers! Seriously, all eyes were on this tutu-clad Derbyshire girl - even the conductor gave me a wink as I bought my ticket. I love this city! It’s a place that really appreciates the finer things in life, which is certainly music to a girl like me!

This morning, my tram adventure led me to La Scala Theatre for a truly inspiring ballet class. I am simply head over heels for their graceful teaching methods. Their techniques have taken my own dance skills to a whole new level. These ballerinas really know how to make each move count, and they know exactly how to use every single muscle in our bodies to create sheer elegance. Honestly, just watching them is a pleasure. Just imagine if everyone did the same with their day-to-day tasks? How much more wonderful the world would be, don’t you think?

Milan's Fashion Secrets:

After my exhilarating class, I knew I was craving some delicious gelato, but of course, before I went, I had to pay a visit to my favourite boutique, the Bottega del Balletto - they’ve got the most amazing ballet gear. I swear they’re all about a ballet girl’s ‘pink dreams coming true!’ I had to take my little ballet slippers out for a whirl too – of course, a twirl was the only way to find out how they feel, darling.

Anyway, you guys know I simply adore a new ballet skirt. But I also have a soft spot for a vintage-style blouse – it just adds so much flair to any outfit. And this boutique is literally bursting at the seams with vintage finds! This time, I managed to grab myself the most wonderful 50s style ruffled top. My mind was spinning, and I can’t wait to work out how I’m going to style this gem in my wardrobe!

Dinner & Dance!

This evening I have the most fantastic treat lined up! A dinner show! Yes, I’m very excited – Il Giardino del Teatro, a delightful little venue in the heart of the city. I have heard all the talk of this charming show. You get the full dining experience and then some great dancing after, including a special waltz that always gets everyone’s dancing feet tapping – and I can't wait to add my pink-tutu touch to the mix.

There are some pretty incredible restaurants in Milan. The chefs here have got an absolute passion for the cuisine – but then, aren't the Italians simply bursting with passion, especially for good food?! You could say I have fallen head over heels for their pasta – I am just starting my tour around the best pasta in this magical city, I am really hoping my tummy holds out long enough! As much as I try to keep things light, there's a good amount of ‘pasta for breakfast’ temptation - I just love this part of my adventure. I can’t wait to post up some delicious snaps for you all!

Keeping You Posted

As always, I'll be keeping you updated on all my adventures here on the blog - next week will be another whirlwind, but for now, it’s time for dinner and a dance with a whole lotta pinkness!

Until next week, darling, lots of love and pink tutus,

Emma
