Pink Tutu Milan - Post 1276: A Ballerina's Whirl Through Milano! 🩰🇮🇹

Hello my darlings, and welcome back to another adventure on Pink Tutu Milan! This week, I've been shimmying my way through the beautiful streets of Milano, and let me tell you, it's been an absolute dream!

I'm already buzzing with excitement for this trip! It's a true "fashionista's paradise" and I'm eager to get my fill of high fashion and artistic inspiration.

This week, Milano has welcomed me with open arms – and of course, it goes without saying that my pink tutu has been a perfect fit for this city's style. You just wouldn't believe the looks I've gotten from passersby! 😄

Let me tell you, I simply adore getting around Milano by tram. The journey is always a charming experience, just like a scene from a film. It's the perfect opportunity for me to watch the city unfold through my tutu-tinted spectacles! ✨

Speaking of spectacles, oh my goodness! On Wednesday, I witnessed something truly breathtaking: a street ballet performance by the incredible "Danza Milano" company. It was utterly magical! The performers seemed to dance on air, their movements effortless and enchanting. I'm still dreaming of their intricate steps and beautiful expressions. You know I couldn't resist capturing it all on camera – my Instagram is positively brimming with artistic flair! Don't forget to check out my reels! I think you'll be as impressed as I was.

Milanese ballet magic is like no other!

That night, the adventure continued! This time, it was a theatrical delight: a captivating ballet performance by the Teatro alla Scala. The sheer scale and artistry of this legendary venue simply blew me away. It was truly a feast for the senses. As I sat mesmerised, I felt a little piece of my own tutu dreams floating in the air! ✨

Of course, a ballet fanatic like me simply couldn't resist trying my hand at a local class. On Thursday morning, I embarked on a delightful journey to "La Scuola del Teatro," a renowned ballet studio in the city's centre. Let's just say that I discovered a hidden gem and my toes are still twirling!

The class was a wonderful opportunity to explore new choreography and refine my techniques. It was challenging but rewarding. The instructors were simply delightful, a real treat. After that intense training, it felt incredible to enjoy a perfectly brewed cappuccino.

Did I mention my favourite café? Oh my, it’s divine! "Caffe Vergnano" is my perfect spot for people-watching and catching up with the locals. The staff have all become familiar faces and always greet me with such warmth. My tutu's popularity has certainly spread! 😁

There is always time to grab a good bite of something decadent and charming, wouldn't you say?

The Italian cuisine here is something else! You haven't tasted true happiness until you've experienced their pasta dishes! Let's just say that "truffle-infused tagliatelle" is my newest love and a must-try. You won't believe how quickly those dishes disappeared! 😂

Naturally, all this indulgence requires a touch of retail therapy. What can I say? Shopping in Milano is simply addictive. From the vintage finds to high-end designers, this city offers endless avenues for indulging my fashion-forward dreams.

I love hunting down unique pieces and giving my pink tutus some much-needed companions. You won't believe the absolutely beautiful things I found this week. There's even a vintage tutu-style skirt that now adorns my wardrobe! Talk about a sartorial symphony! I just need to find a pair of ballerina flats that go with the whole look – I’m obsessed with the look of this outfit. I simply can’t wait to get my photos done with this look and share them on social media. Don’t forget to give me a follow to stay in touch with the Pink Tutu gang, darling!

So, after a weekend full of ballet performances, delicious dinners, and endless explorations, I'm already starting to plan my next escapade. I have my eye on Florence, Venezia, and the Amalfi Coast for my future trips!

*My love for Italy grows deeper with every visit. *

*Until next time, my lovelies, let's all remember that every day is an opportunity to dance our way through life! 💃 And remember to embrace the pink, because “tutu much” is never enough! 😉 *

*Here’s my outfit this week – what do you think of my newest ballerina outfit? It feels so sophisticated! I’m sure you’ll agree. And you must let me know if you ever visit Milano – I’d love to hear about your time here! *

This week's pink tutu moment

Here I am outside the stunning Duomo Milano - isn't it a sight to behold? It’s hard to miss my bright pink tutu, especially amongst the throngs of shoppers. Don't you agree it stands out, and adds a touch of ballet magic to this enchanting city? This cathedral is something out of a fairy tale!

Where I've been this week

- Danza Milano street performance. A true celebration of dance and passion, and such captivating talent. ✨ A wonderful performance full of energy and life. 🩰 [ Photo: Close-up photo of a ballet dancer in the street performance.]

- Teatro alla Scala, Milan: A spectacular venue, a majestic display of beauty and elegance, with incredible acoustics for an even more beautiful performance. 🎶 The music and the storytelling brought to life on the stage was exquisite.

- La Scuola del Teatro: This school exudes class. You can really feel the ballet history radiating out of the hall. And they have stunning windows! 🪟 My tutu looked lovely next to those elegant lines.

*- Caffe Vergnano: I spent an afternoon in this cozy café catching up on all the news with some local ladies I met. We gossiped over cups of creamy cappuccino and panini in their beautiful space. ☕️ *

*- Trattoria Vecchia Milano, The food was so delightful. I even had two helpings! What can I say? Their portions are massive! I don't normally have desserts, but this gelato was truly a work of art – and of course, it had pink strawberry in it! 🍧 It’s the perfect sweet end to any day, particularly after all that ballet training. 😊 *

### Shopping Spree

My fashion journey this week involved delving into vintage shops for that iconic Italian flair, with a dash of vintage charm for a little something different! I was on the hunt for a look that could be either formal or for a night out on the town! What can I say, when you see a vintage pink tutu – a girl’s gotta jump at the chance! 😉 It’s just so elegant – I’m absolutely in love.

The pink is a pale dusty shade which will go perfectly with my other garments. What do you think? I love wearing clothes in a way that suits my style.

*Fashionista tip: If you're visiting Milano and you’re thinking of bringing home a few fashion bargains, you'll find amazing shops full of discounted designer brands and labels. A great way to treat yourself after a beautiful ballet show. 😊 *

*I would absolutely recommend trying the 'Pink Tutu Look.' I love this style - you get to embrace both elegance and fun at the same time. And there’s no denying that a pink tutu dress makes every girl look like a true ballerina. *

### My Ballet tips for your next city visit:

  1. Travel with your dancing shoes: It can be hard to get to ballet classes, especially in cities where ballet classes don't come cheap. And it's amazing to be able to explore cities at your own pace. I am always able to go out exploring the town for at least a couple of hours, and sometimes more. I am on a mission to spread a bit of ballet magic in every corner of the world! 🩰

  2. Go off-road: There are always more dance schools hidden away in neighbourhoods than are in the more tourist-heavy areas, so you might want to hop off that city bus and spend a bit of time getting lost down the local streets.

  3. Join the local dance communities. Social media is your best friend here. Search for "ballet" in local groups. This could lead to exciting performances or classes in different neighbourhoods!

  4. Dress for the city. Your pink tutu should look lovely in a city setting. But for city exploring, keep a stylish look for the street with flat ballerina shoes and your ballet bag to make you look even more fabulous. And be prepared for some unexpected conversations – some of the funnest chats happen on a whim when you are out and about, trust me. 💖

Planning my next adventure:

*Next week, I’m heading to beautiful Venezia! It's the perfect place to go on a gondola ride! ✨ There’s something so romantic about gliding through those waterways. I can't wait to feel the gentle sway as we drift under the arches and soak in all that beauty. *

And, naturally, no trip to Venice is complete without enjoying their delectable Venetian seafood! 🍝 This foodie is ready to embrace all that amazing food. And as always, my pink tutu will make its stylish appearance in Venice's romantic atmosphere. I imagine this city as the perfect setting for some dramatic dance performances! You won't believe what I have planned. It's sure to be another fabulous week of “pinktuting” – I can't wait! 😊

*Make sure you subscribe to my Pink Tutu blog. Join me next week when we’ll be exploring the enchanting waterways and secret gardens of Venezia. 💕 I’m excited to show you what’s to be discovered. 😊 And do let me know in the comments if you have any tips for the beautiful Venezia. *
