It’s Emma here, and I'm writing to you from the heart of Milan, Italy! The cobbled streets are buzzing with energy, the sun is glinting off the Duomo, and my heart is bursting with excitement for the ballet feast I'm about to devour.
This week's adventure started with a delicious breakfast of cornetti and cappuccino at a quaint café near my apartment. I just love the way the light filters through the cafe window onto the croissants, illuminating their perfect, golden crescent shape – just like a dancer's arabesque!
The Train Journey
But the best part of my morning was the train journey to Milan's city centre. I love those Italian trains, they’re so stylish, sleek, and comfortable. I snuggled into a plush seat, a good book in hand, watching the countryside glide by. You just can't beat the romance of train travel.
And speaking of romance, what better way to enhance my journey than a tutu twist, of course! A fluffy, pale pink tulle tutu that caught the sunlight streaming through the train window, swirling like a whimsical ballet dream. I have to admit, a few admiring glances from fellow passengers made my day. It's always wonderful to see a smile blossom on someone's face when they see my pink tutu. It reminds me of the power of a little bit of joy and whimsy to brighten up someone's day!
The Theatre & A Show-Stopping Performance
My first stop was the beautiful Teatro alla Scala. It's not only one of the most prestigious opera houses in the world, but also a testament to architectural beauty. The grand, gold-gilded interior was enough to take my breath away, and the scent of history hung heavy in the air. Tonight I was treated to a breathtaking performance of “The Sleeping Beauty.” I was completely mesmerized by the dancers' effortless grace and power, and the music transported me to a world of enchantment and dreams.

After the show, my ballet-obsessed heart yearned for some retail therapy, and where better to indulge than Milan's iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II.
