Now, you all know that I adore ballet – it’s my absolute passion. So naturally, when I’m in Milan, one of the first things on my agenda is to take in some stunning ballet performances.

Tonight, I’m seeing “The Sleeping Beauty” at the world-renowned Teatro alla Scala. This grand theatre, a true masterpiece of architecture, has seen some of the greatest dancers grace its stage, and tonight I’m eager to feel the magic firsthand. The thrill of seeing these legendary stories unfold, brought to life by the extraordinary talent of these dancers, fills my heart with pure joy.
I must admit, even I, a self-proclaimed pink tutu enthusiast, had to dial down the sparkle for this special evening. While my tutu is definitely still in my handbag (just in case!), I’m wearing a sophisticated, but stylish, dusky pink, lace dress with a little silver bow, adding just a touch of pink-tutu sparkle.

Today, I spent a few hours browsing the boutiques around Via della Spiga, which are like beautiful jewels set amongst the bustling city. Oh, the tempting window displays, the silk gowns that whispered to me, the exquisitely crafted shoes that just begged to be twirled in! It was a sensory feast.
I must admit, the allure of some gorgeous vintage fur-lined scarves (think fabulous emerald green, classic black, and a touch of decadent pink) was strong. But, with a heavy heart, I reminded myself that pink tutus have to come before everything! I do love to indulge in vintage treasures, but sometimes, one must show a little restraint. Or maybe, just maybe, one must just look for the most amazing pink tutu bargains…

This evening, I’ll be enjoying a delicious, authentic Italian meal, probably followed by a slice (or two) of decadent tiramisu! Every dish I’ve tried here is a celebration of fresh ingredients and exquisite flavors, making it almost as much of a performance as any ballet I’ve seen.

Of course, I wouldn't be a true Pink Tutu Milan blogger if I didn’t explore the city with my trusty tutu in tow! Today, I took a scenic tram ride through the bustling streets. I love how trams are a part of everyday life here, gliding smoothly through the streets, offering a window into the lives of the city’s inhabitants.
While I may not have been dancing in my tutu during my tram journey (the conductors do frown on that), I had my ballet shoes strapped on under my dress, ready to pirouette at any given moment!

Last weekend, I saw a street performance, a mesmerizing blend of dance and music that filled the piazza with joyous energy.
