Hello, my lovely pink tutu lovers! This week I'm writing to you from the heart of the Big Apple – New York City! Can you believe it? This fabulous city, a dream destination for a ballerina like myself, has been a long-held ambition, and now I'm finally here! It’s just magical to be here, especially with my new pink tulle tutu from Bloomingdale's – I feel so ready for New York, it’s buzzing!

Before I begin my adventures, let me quickly tell you how I got here! This trip has been a long time in the planning. As usual, I managed to fund my travels through performances. My latest success? A small role in "The Nutcracker" – oh the joys of performing with the sugarplum fairies! So many beautiful costumes! And lots of twirling, of course! It really is the perfect way to travel – performing is what I love, and then seeing the world as a reward – how's that for a winning combination?

Now, back to New York! This week, it’s all about Broadway! Yes, you heard me right, I'm finally going to see a Broadway show, and I’m SO excited! This is no ordinary ballet; we're talking about the biggest and brightest names in the American theatre! I've got tickets to "Wicked," and, my goodness, can you believe that’s the hottest ticket in town? Everyone’s been raving about it and now I’ll get to see what all the fuss is about. I’m sure it will inspire my dancing in ways I can’t even imagine right now. I plan on catching every show on offer! Imagine my glee when I finally found the iconic 'Minskoff Theatre', the home to the greenest of green witches!

It's not just Broadway shows I'm enjoying here. Yesterday I took a lovely afternoon to wander through the city and do some shopping! And naturally, the pink tulle shop, Bloomingdale's, was at the top of my list! I came back with an armful of the most wonderful pinks! I got myself a delicate, blush pink satin shawl for evening performances – perfect for adding a touch of elegance to my costumes, and even more beautifully, the most magnificent, sparkly pink tulle, ready to be made into a new and very special tutu! The material feels almost magical. This tutu, I'm telling you, is going to be a show-stopper, trust me! I can already envision it sparkling under the spotlight – how exciting!

Even if I hadn’t managed to get this far, it feels so right to be back in New York. This isn’t my first visit to this captivating city, it’s where I fell in love with the iconic New York subway. What a thrilling journey, I couldn’t get enough! Every journey’s an adventure, and the colours are simply delightful - who’d have thought a subway could be so colourful? Every station seems to have its own unique charm. I took a trip on the A Train last night and took in the energy and bustle that I feel so captivated by. So much to discover! Every corner seems to whisper “Go! Discover!”. So that’s just what I'm doing, immersing myself in everything New York. I already can’t wait for what’s to come!

New York City is a perfect blend of everything I love! The excitement, the energy, the shops, and yes, the shows are fantastic – I’m living the dream, really. So come along on this adventure with me and take in every moment! This weekend, I plan to go to Lincoln Centre to see an American Ballet Theatre performance – it’s a dream come true, I just love that world-renowned company! I'm keeping my eyes peeled for talented up-and-coming dancers and to find out all the latest trends! I’ll keep you posted, it's going to be absolutely fabulous.

Oh! And if you're wondering how to inject some of that pink tutu magic into your own life, you've come to the right place! Remember, this is a pink tutu blog! Here's this week's style advice to ensure your everyday attire is extra magical:

• Pink Power! Make your shoes the centrepiece of your look – they should always reflect your happy and playful attitude! If pink’s not your favourite colour, then take inspiration from Emma! Maybe a splash of pink to accentuate your favourite colour would work. Maybe an all pink look? The choice is yours!

• Tutu Up your Life: No need to go full ballerina here! Take a peek at your closet – any chance you’ve got a pink garment you haven’t worn in a while? Don’t worry, that’s a great starting point – just a tiny bit of pink is all it takes. Try a pink cardigan over a dark top, maybe with a scarf, to brighten up your day! It will remind you to dance through life.
