This Monday feels extra sparkly, because I'm officially halfway through my three-week adventure in the Big Apple. I know I say it every week, but this city never fails to take my breath away.
You know how I always say that my mission in life is to make the world a pinker, twirlier place? Well, New York has been absolutely perfect for fulfilling that mission. Every day feels like a new adventure, with an endless supply of pretty dresses to wear, Broadway shows to watch, and incredible street performances to discover. ✨
Monday Magic: Ballet in the Big Apple
I started my Monday with a burst of energy at the Metropolitan Opera House. This week, they're showing the Royal Ballet's stunning production of The Sleeping Beauty. Can you imagine? The choreography was breathtaking, the costumes were positively dazzling, and the entire performance just oozed grace and elegance. Honestly, it left me absolutely speechless! 💖
I always feel incredibly inspired after watching a professional ballet. Seeing those talented dancers move with such poise and precision makes me want to leap into the studio and perfect my own moves. It’s like a reminder that even the most ambitious goals can be achieved with hard work and dedication – a message that resonates deeply with my own artistic pursuits!
Speaking of which, I did manage to squeeze in a quick ballet class earlier today, before venturing into the hustle and bustle of the city. Nothing beats the feeling of perfecting a grand jeté, feeling the burn of a good barre workout, and leaving the studio feeling stronger, fitter and utterly empowered! 💪
A Day of Shopping, Showstoppers and Subway Shenanigans!
I’m a huge advocate for getting your steps in every day, and walking the streets of New York City is the perfect way to explore. It’s a fantastic opportunity to take in the sights, sounds and smells of this vibrant metropolis, from the bustling street performers and colorful vendors to the iconic architecture that takes you back in time.
My adventure this afternoon took me to a hidden gem in the heart of Greenwich Village, a boutique called 'Flutter & Frill'. They had the most stunning selection of whimsical accessories and outfits, all with a delightful, playful touch that makes them perfect for a pink tutu-loving girl like me! It was a pure delight finding a new sparkly handbag to complete my look and adding a few extra frills to my already impressive pink tutu collection! 👜🛍️
Of course, no day in New York City is complete without an epic show. Tonight, I saw a Broadway adaptation of one of my favourite books – "The Great Gatsby" – which was simply stunning. I just adored the glamorous set design, the breathtaking costumes, and the sheer artistry of the performance! Every scene felt like a brushstroke of perfection, adding another layer of colour and vibrancy to the city's dazzling tapestry.
As always, the New York City subway played a starring role in my adventures today! I’m absolutely obsessed with this underground transportation system, a maze of tunnels that whisks you across the city at lightning speed. It's fascinating to witness the melting pot of humanity passing through those iconic metal carriages – from street artists to business people, tourists to commuters – all bound for their own unique destinations. I feel like it's a window into the soul of this incredible city.
And you know what? There’s nothing quite like cruising along the subway lines with your pink tutu fluttering behind you! The surprised looks and delighted smiles of fellow passengers never cease to make me grin from ear to ear. It’s a reminder that even the simplest act of self-expression can brighten someone else’s day! 💖

As I finish up this post, I can't help but feel a sense of joy and contentment. It's truly amazing how this city can constantly reinvent itself and keep surprising you at every turn.
It's hard to believe it's already halfway through my trip! But as I say to myself every morning, with a wink in the mirror and a little twirl in my pink tutu, there’s always something new to discover in New York, and there’s always more pink to sprinkle into the world. 💖
