Well, it’s another glorious Monday and guess who's back in the Big Apple? This little pink tutu princess is! After a whirlwind week of ballet performances back in good old Derbyshire, I'm absolutely buzzing to be back in my favourite city – New York, New York!

Remember how I said last week that I was saving a special surprise for this post? Well, let’s just say I’ve been having the most fabulous time this week. Get ready, because you're in for a treat – it’s all going to be about the magical happenings in NYC, from breathtaking ballet to spectacular fashion, and a dash of that essential pink tutu sprinkle.

Forget about Broadway for a minute, my friends, because I've just seen a truly unforgettable ballet gala at the breathtaking Lincoln Center. Picture this: shimmering lights, an electric atmosphere, and some of the most talented dancers in the world gracefully leaping across the stage. I’m talking world-class ballet in its purest form – truly mesmerising! The energy in the air was electric, and I could barely keep my eyes off the stunning costumes, the intricate choreography, and the sheer talent that was on display. I actually spent a good portion of the evening just trying to hold back happy tears! It was like watching a beautiful story unfold in front of my very eyes. I can't wait to tell you all about it.

And if you’re a fellow ballet enthusiast, make sure to check out this year’s American Ballet Theatre’s Spring Gala (although it's just finished, there will be a whole lot more where that came from!), because let me tell you – this city is overflowing with extraordinary ballet performances.

Speaking of extraordinary, have I told you how much I love shopping in New York City? This time around, I'm absolutely besotted with the most delicate lace dress, which I scooped up from this cute little boutique in Greenwich Village – oh, it's practically begging to be paired with my favourite tulle petticoat! I think I may have a tiny shopping problem, but who can resist when the stores are bursting with such fabulous creations, ready to be swept off their hangers and into my wardrobe?

I even snagged a few beautiful ribbons, just begging to be turned into something utterly exquisite. Imagine: the perfect blush-toned ribbon, wrapped around my bun in a stunning bow, with a touch of pink eyeshadow… now that's a look that's going to turn heads! Oh, and speaking of accessories, I also picked up the most adorable pearl-embellished ballet slippers - imagine those with my trusty pink tutu... chefs kiss perfection!

It’s times like these that I’m absolutely in love with the city’s fashion scene, because it’s like a treasure chest bursting with all things sparkly, sophisticated, and daring – just like my wardrobe! Oh, and don't even get me started on the beauty stores! My make-up collection has gotten a significant upgrade, and I can't wait to experiment with the new eyeshadow palettes and shimmery nail polish I found – I swear, this is like a fairy’s dreamland.

If you're a ballet fanatic like me, New York City is your playground, because there's always something amazing to witness on the streets. The other day, I was strolling down Broadway when I spotted a flash of tutus swirling through the bustling crowd! These talented street dancers had their own way of expressing themselves and wow, was it captivating! They were dancing with such passion, and their energy was infectious – I had to pull out my phone and film a little bit for all of you to enjoy.

Let's face it, with the incredible ballet performances going on at every turn in the city, you never know what kind of balletic magic you might find on the street. Be it a captivating group performance, a whimsical street dancer, or even just a beautifully executed pirouette, ballet is everywhere here!

One of my absolute favourite things about being in New York is the Metro. Now, it may seem like just a means of getting around, but for me, it’s a magical experience, complete with its own special brand of urban poetry. Think about it: thousands of people, rushing to their destinations, with each face telling its own story. There are the sleek trains speeding underground, and the rhythmic sound of the screeching brakes. It’s all part of this fascinating city symphony.

And let’s not forget the subway’s own character! Sometimes, you’re swept away by an unexpected performance, whether it’s a gifted musician, a lively busker, or a hilarious street artist. Every time I hop on the subway, it's like I'm transported into a whole new world, filled with possibilities. And don't worry, I’ve got my own signature style for conquering this bustling underground realm: pink tutu with a comfy sweater, and I’m all set for a seamless journey. It’s not just about being stylish, it's about feeling good and embracing the unique beauty of the subway experience.

Honestly, I could talk for days about my New York City adventures – it’s such a whirlwind of exciting discoveries, delicious eats, breathtaking beauty, and inspiring performances. And who knows what the next week will hold? Perhaps it will be a stunning new fashion collection at Bloomingdale's, an amazing dance workshop with renowned professionals, or another spectacular show in the Theatre District? I can’t wait to see what this fantastic city throws my way.
