Hello my gorgeous darlings! It's Monday, and you know what that means? It's time for a brand new post from your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger, right here in the heart of New York City!
As always, I'm buzzing with excitement, because the weekend has just been fabulous! New York is a constant whirlwind of amazing experiences, and this weekend was no exception. I managed to pack in a fantastic ballet show, a rather decadent shopping spree, and a whole load of glorious sightseeing.
A Peek at the Schedule
But before I dive into the whirlwind of pink-tastic detail, let's rewind to last week, because it was just too wonderful to leave out. You know I live for a good show, and last Wednesday I went to see a breathtaking performance of Swan Lake at Lincoln Center. My, my, my - those costumes were just divine, and the dancers' precision and elegance simply left me speechless. The way the stage lit up, the emotional drama, the effortless skill of the dancers - pure magic!
Thursday saw me waltzing into a beautiful Broadway production. I simply can't resist the allure of those shimmering costumes and those iconic melodies. It was like stepping into a fairytale. This week's Broadway offering? Wait for it... Hamilton! Yes, that's right, folks. Those who know me know how obsessed I am with this musical, and it lived up to every single one of my wildest expectations! What an absolute triumph!
And then, Friday! Ah, Friday! This was all about me, my darlings. After a day of rehearsals, I finally got to hit the shops! Let's just say I went a little pink wild - I mean, how could I resist a gorgeous pastel pink satin bomber jacket and a blush-coloured silk scarf, all picked up for a steal? Bargains galore, I tell you! I even indulged in a tiny, adorable pink ballerina keychain to keep me company. I might be a little obsessed with the colour pink, but hey, what can I say? It brings me such joy.
Now for my weekend!
And now we arrive at my absolute favourite part, the weekend adventures! I spent my Saturday doing what I do best: soaking up the culture of New York City. I even braved the subway (no fear, my tutu survived!) to venture downtown and discover the charming boutiques of SoHo. Those little independent shops with their unique creations, it was absolute heaven! I managed to snaffle some cute earrings and a stunning pair of shoes - one simply cannot resist a good shoe sale!
Of course, a trip to New York is never complete without a dose of the Metropolitan Museum of Art! That iconic building is just a magnet for my wandering eye. There are just so many incredible works of art to admire, from paintings to sculptures and everything in between! The exhibition space is truly remarkable. I did my best to be cultural, of course, but a quick pitstop in the museum shop was a must! My favourite bit of shopping this weekend was a gorgeous framed butterfly print to adorn my apartment back in Derbyshire.
Sunday morning began with a visit to Central Park. Oh, that glorious green space! Just imagining all the memories being made right there! And as luck would have it, I stumbled upon a street performance. It wasn't quite ballet, but a lovely street band who gave me a truly uplifting start to the day.

Fashion Finds from the City That Never Sleeps
Firstly, my ballet class was definitely on the pink side! A gorgeous dusky pink tulle tutu that twirled and flowed like a dream - a true classic, wouldn't you say? And it felt just as dreamy as it looked, too!
On Saturday I bought two new pieces I can’t wait to show off - a pair of coral pink satin ballerina pumps, simply adorable! And I even managed to snaffle a bright fuchsia cardigan with matching pearl buttons that screamed elegance! I know - what a classic, girly mix!
The Big City Buzz
I find that, when travelling, the hustle and bustle of New York City keeps my imagination bubbling. This place is full of inspiration! It makes me so excited about life, art, and beauty.
As I gaze at the vibrant street scene, I find myself pondering... what will the world look like when everyone is rocking a pink tutu? Imagine the colourful possibilities! Perhaps I'll even find inspiration for my next performance right here in the streets of this magnificent city!
