Hello my gorgeous lovelies!
It’s Emma here, writing to you from the bustling, bright, and beautiful streets of New York City! I’m back in the city that never sleeps, and I’m already feeling a whirlwind of excitement. Today, however, it feels extra special – not just because it’s Monday and time for another Pink Tutu Blog NYC post, but because this time, my darling readers, I've got a pink tutu adventure planned for the entire week!
Now, I know what you’re thinking. "Emma, aren't you a tad old to wear a tutu? Isn't it all a bit..." But hold your horses, my lovelies! My tutus are for every woman, and every age! It’s not about age, it's about embracing joy, whimsy, and above all, spreading a little sprinkle of magic wherever you go! And where better to do that than in the vibrant, energy-charged atmosphere of NYC?
A Whirlwind Arrival in New York City
My arrival in the city was as chaotic as it always is - a joyful jumble of taxis, crowds, and that incredible New York City energy that makes my heart sing! I literally burst out laughing as I stepped off the metro and was immediately engulfed in a flurry of activity - street performers, colourful vendors, and a soundtrack of car horns and chatter. It felt like being back in my favourite stage production - full of action, excitement, and an unpredictable flair!
But before I could fully absorb this new reality, I had a mission - to find the perfect location to wear my new tulle creation! It’s a delicate, dusty pink dream of a tutu, so romantic and ethereal that it seems to have flown straight from the pages of a storybook. Just wait till you see it! It's all layers of sheer tulle, and this time it features a sparkly pink sequined bodice - an absolute dream, my dears!
Tutus Take Broadway!
Now, if you’re a fellow ballet devotee like me, you know the magical experience of seeing a show in the heart of New York City’s Broadway. But even with all that theatrical wonder, nothing compares to seeing a show in a fabulous tutu! I’m not going to lie - there were some curious stares. But there were also countless smiles, laughs, and genuine moments of joy! Even a couple of fellow ballet dancers came up to me afterwards for a chat - it was the absolute dream!
I have to admit, strutting into the theatre felt like I was making an entrance onstage myself. People actually turned their heads, with wide-eyed expressions of surprise and delight! And that's when I realised – I wasn’t just making a statement, I was making a difference. I was creating an experience that people wouldn’t forget!
The City That Never Sleeps… in Tutu
But my adventure doesn’t end with the theatre! Oh no, this is just the beginning! After a dazzling performance by A Midsummer Night's Dream – the Shakespearean magic was so moving, my dear! I walked for miles around Times Square, the neon lights a symphony of colour and movement, all in the perfect colour for a tutu: pink!

A Parisian Indulgence
On Tuesday, I'm taking a delightful detour – a quick trip to the Big Apple’s petite Paris – the French Quarters! I hear they have the most amazing Parisian cafes and boulangeries – picture a pastel pink tutu, freshly baked pastries, and a glass of something sparkling – pure bliss, darling!
A Tutus and Fashion Feast
And of course, a trip to NYC would be incomplete without a serious shopping spree! This Wednesday, I’ll be exploring all the glamorous boutiques, hunting for the most divine dresses and shoes to complete my tutu look! I'm talking delicate lace, bright colours, and that New York City sass – it’s all about putting together that perfect ensemble. And of course, I’ll be sharing my style secrets with you here. I even have my eyes set on a couple of fabulous vintage shops, hoping for some treasures!
Subway Style & Urban Inspiration
Thursday is about exploring a bit deeper - embracing the essence of the New York subway! The journey itself is a spectacle! Every day, you're surrounded by such incredible talent – buskers, singers, dancers… Even in the hustle and bustle, there's so much beauty!
Sunday Fundays in The City That Never Sleeps
Sunday will be all about fun! I'll be attending the legendary Central Park Picnic in a glamorous tutu outfit, meeting fellow fashion enthusiasts and spreading a little pink magic.
But what really matters is you - your individual style, and making each day extraordinary. Whether it's dancing on the street, having a picnic in Central Park, or simply going to a coffee shop, every moment can be a performance. So go ahead, wear your tutu, Embrace your inner princess, and let's make New York City even more sparkly, magical and fun!

Day 4: Subway Chic - Dark Pink tutu with Black Ballet Netting detail - Black Suede Ballet Shoes (a little bit edgy, don’t you think?) - White Denim Jacket for that chic but casual feel - Tiny Pink Purse
Day 5: Sunday Central Park Glamour - The Pink "Poppy" tutu – all lace and ruffles - White Ballerinas with a Touch of Pink on the toes - Black Wide-brimmed Straw Hat - A bright, multi-coloured floral scarf - Pink Leather Fanny Pack! (They are so much back in fashion this season, dear!)
