Hello darlings!
Welcome back to another week of Pink Tutu Blog NYC! It's Monday, 21st October, and the autumn air is crisp here in New York. I'm feeling so incredibly inspired this week after spending a weekend in the Big Apple that I couldn't wait to share it with you.
Today marks post number 1272 for Pink Tutu Blog NYC, and trust me, my love for New York grows stronger every time I return. This time, I packed my trusty pink tutu and headed off to explore the city, soaking up the energy and falling head-over-heels for the dazzling lights, iconic buildings, and the endless fashion opportunities that only New York can offer.
My weekend started with a whirlwind of shopping, something I can never resist in this fabulous city. I stumbled upon a boutique nestled in a quiet street, tucked away from the bustle of Fifth Avenue. The owner, a charming woman with a penchant for bold prints and flowing silks, showed me around her delightful shop, each piece meticulously curated. I found a stunning coral blouse with intricate embroidery, perfect for pairing with my trusty pink tutu, naturally!
After indulging in a much-needed cappuccino and a slice of the most delicious New York cheesecake (chocolate chip, obviously!), I headed towards Times Square. The neon lights and the energy of the city are contagious. I felt a surge of excitement, a reminder of why New York is truly one of a kind. I can never tire of seeing Broadway posters plastered on buildings and the vibrant atmosphere buzzing through the streets.
The highlight of my weekend? Absolutely seeing the new production of Phantom at the Majestic Theatre! The opulent sets and the soaring melodies had me completely mesmerised. I found myself singing along with the chorus, and my pink tutu, ever the drama queen, twirled and danced with the most fantastic elegance! I swear, some of the dancers even seemed to be staring at it... they must have been mesmerised!
As much as I love soaking up the theatrical magic, my time in New York isn't complete without hitting up the ballet studios sprinkled throughout the city. This weekend I joined a beginner’s ballet class* at a cozy little studio in the Upper East Side. Oh, my, darling, it was **glorious. The teacher was wonderfully encouraging and the class was small and intimate, making me feel totally comfortable. And, the best part? They didn't even flinch when I twirled in my pink tutu!
