Hello darlings! Happy Monday and a very Merry belated Christmas from your favourite pink tutu-clad blogger! Today, I'm beaming with excitement to be bringing you a special post from the bustling, energetic city of New York. This week, it’s been pure pink magic - from the moment I touched down, I felt like a real-life fairy tale princess in this magical city, which I'm convinced has a special place in its heart for ballerinas, tutus and all things pink.

This week's journey took me from the tranquil Derbyshire countryside right into the heart of Manhattan - just another magical, dream-like trip made possible by my amazing performances as a professional ballerina! Can you believe it?! This is my passion - sharing my love for dancing and for all things pink with the world! And, it truly wouldn’t be possible without the generous hearts of the audiences who fill up the theatres. It's incredibly rewarding knowing that my performances are giving people so much joy! And of course, a big shout out to the fabulously generous benefactors who are making all of this possible.

Now, let’s get back to the city that never sleeps, a city bursting with energy and dreams. There's a certain electric feeling in the air that you can only experience in this truly remarkable city. This week, I'm sharing the inside scoop on how I'm tackling New York - pink tutu and all - with my own special blend of style and fun, naturally!

Before I talk about my fab outfits and all things pink, we must talk about the food! My first mission in this exciting city was to discover the delicious, diverse food scene. The streets of New York are a real foodie paradise! I've tasted the most divine slices of pizza, enjoyed some incredibly juicy, succulent burgers and even discovered the joy of bagels with a schmear of cream cheese - truly delicious. Oh, and did I mention the incredible desserts?! It's definitely fair to say, this is one city I wouldn't recommend visiting if you're on a diet!

Of course, no trip to New York is complete without a visit to the heart of it all – Times Square! This dazzling intersection is where dreams meet reality, where iconic billboards cast a vibrant, luminous glow over the busy crowds and where every colour imaginable seems to shimmer and shine! Now, while I confess, it felt a tad chaotic for my taste, I couldn't deny the excitement bubbling inside of me. It's no wonder that Times Square is known as "The Crossroads of the World"! The sheer buzz, the energy, the sights – truly electrifying.

Let's talk fashion, because we all know pink and tutus go hand in hand! Of course, my travel essentials have been lovingly packed – I simply couldn’t bear the thought of leaving my collection of tutus and fabulous pink accessories behind.

Now, my outfit choices have been perfectly suited to exploring this fashion capital – we're talking comfy, chic and effortlessly glamorous. I've been rocking the classic, sophisticated, yet comfortable look – a vibrant pink knitted top with delicate sequins, paired with sleek black leggings and my iconic pink tulle tutu. Add a pair of fabulous patent leather loafers – oh yes, a touch of the 50s vintage thrown in for good measure – and I felt absolutely prepared to tackle any New York adventure. I just can’t get enough of the compliments I’ve been receiving – every day, more people tell me how my outfit makes them smile!

The secret ingredient to nailing this effortless pink-tastic look? The key is in those carefully curated little touches that add a personal sprinkle of magic. We're talking vintage brooches – vintage Chanel inspired pieces are my absolute favourite - delicately tucked into my hair. Maybe even a dash of shimmering pink eyeshadow or a soft, pink lip gloss. My outfit reflects the beautiful city and my spirit of joyful, glamorous fun!

Another highlight of my New York trip has been Central Park! What a true oasis! I took a peaceful walk through this urban haven - the trees ablaze in beautiful autumn colours - so picture-perfect and serene, you can’t help but relax. My pink tutu wasn’t really in sync with the autumnal atmosphere, so I swapped it for a comfy, light-pink sweater dress paired with knee-high black boots - an elegant, chic ensemble perfect for a relaxing stroll through nature. What an amazing reminder of the balance we all need – even in the busy chaos of New York City! The quiet serenity of this green oasis was absolutely divine.

From the relaxing ambience of Central Park, my day took a rather dramatic turn. It's New York after all! Next stop, the thrilling world of Broadway! This place is just brimming with excitement! I took in a stunning rendition of "Cats" at the Neil Simon Theatre. The amazing costumes were out of this world – the fabulous detail, the stunning colour schemes, truly a feast for the eyes. What can I say, but a little pink never hurts! There were plenty of pops of vibrant colour, but the feline fierceness of the dancers really made an impression! I especially loved their impressive acrobatic feats. I’d highly recommend checking it out if you’re ever in the city!

The heart of New York beats strong and wild – and so do the subway systems, just like a heartbeat that courses through the entire city! This system is a real revelation - just fascinating to me! My first time hopping on the New York metro felt like jumping straight into a movie! From bustling underground stations teeming with people to the fast, smooth journey through a network of tunnels and sleek stations, it truly captures the city's pulse. And it really is the best way to see New York.

Naturally, I styled my trip in my favourite pink tulle tutu with an extra-fluffy knitted cardigan - my go-to combo for comfort and that signature pink charm! It’s my trusty partner for navigating through the underground! A good splash of bright pink really adds some whimsy, doesn't it?

Another stop on my whirlwind tour was the incredible Metropolitan Museum of Art! Now, if you haven’t been to New York yet, it’s a must-see destination. It’s a colossal collection of amazing masterpieces! It really is a wonderland of art from every corner of the globe and throughout time. It's easy to lose yourself for hours in the magnificent sculptures, paintings and intricate tapestries – there's simply too much to absorb in just one visit!

Naturally, I went all-out on the pink and style, of course. This time, it was all about a stylishly oversized, blush-pink tailored coat, teamed with my trusty tutu for a pop of colour. Add some funky, pink glitter boots for a bit of extra sparkle, and my ensemble was picture-perfect.

The best part? I actually had a great time catching up on a good book, "Anne of Green Gables", whilst admiring a collection of impressionist paintings. There’s something rather magical about being lost in a world of artistry whilst nestled inside the Metropolitan.

One of my all-time favourite things to do is, of course, shopping! My last stop of the day was a treasure trove – an elegant boutique nestled within the city. It just called out to me with its pastel-coloured displays. Inside, I discovered the most divine selection of unique clothes – I am so drawn to pink and the pieces just sang to my fashion-loving soul.

My pink senses went into overdrive! I simply couldn't leave the shop without a few extra, vibrant, pink accessories! This time, it was an utterly captivating vintage handbag in the most delectable shade of pale pink with the prettiest lace details - and the softest, most luxurious suede lining. The perfect accessory to add a vintage charm to my tutu collection! My bag was perfectly paired with an amazing blush-pink statement necklace, it was absolutely beautiful and unique - perfect for adding a touch of sparkle to every day outfits.

So there you have it – my adventures in New York! Every day has been a kaleidoscope of dazzling experiences. This magnificent city never fails to deliver something special – it truly feels like you could stumble upon something fabulous around every corner!

I must admit, New York has left a permanent mark on me. I’ve been swept away by the energy, the magic and the amazing fashion. It's a city of incredible dreams and endless possibilities.
