Hello darlings! It’s Monday morning, the sun is shining, and a brand new week has sprung open its arms to greet us. I’m writing to you from the heart of New York City, where the streets are a constant flurry of energy and the air crackles with excitement. This vibrant metropolis is a sensory overload, in the most glorious way, and I’m utterly enthralled. This week, I’ve been twirling my way through the city, exploring its iconic sights, and absorbing the electrifying atmosphere.
The Pink Tutu Takes Manhattan!
As always, I’m making sure my pink tutu is making an appearance wherever I go! After all, you know the motto, Pink Tutu Everywhere!. It’s true! Pink is the colour of optimism, joy, and love – all things I adore and want to share with the world. The bright shade of my tutu is just the thing to bring a little touch of whimsy and magic to these concrete jungles. And believe me, even the staunchest of New Yorkers can’t resist a smile at the sight of a ballerina twirling down the street! I've received more smiles and compliments on my outfit than I can count. And what better way to celebrate the power of individuality than by embracing something as colourful and flamboyant as a pink tutu?
Dancing in New York
This past week has been a ballet lover’s dream! I managed to secure tickets for the New York City Ballet's production of “The Nutcracker” at the Lincoln Center. Seeing the timeless tale come to life with such artistry and grace left me absolutely spellbound. The talent of the dancers was jaw-dropping and the performance was breathtaking, truly a night to remember!
On the Metro and to Broadway
The New York metro is such a characterful place! The people are just so unique, from suits to students, tourists to locals. And then, of course, there is always the ballet dancer making their way to and from a class, a show or audition. But amidst all the rushing about, I found so many friendly faces willing to chat with the girl in the pink tutu. My favorite thing, of course, is talking to people about ballet and helping them discover the joy of this magical art form. Who knows? I might even convince one or two of them to try on a pink tutu themselves!
My travels through the city haven’t just been about ballet, though. Broadway beckons and so does the theatre district with its sparkling lights and glamorous allure. Last week, I saw Hamilton. Such an exciting and innovative piece, with phenomenal singing, rapping, and dancing, and the story of Alexander Hamilton was so compelling. It’s no surprise that it has taken Broadway by storm, and the talent of the cast was quite simply remarkable.
Fashion Fix in the Big Apple
And no trip to New York is complete without a good dose of retail therapy! Fifth Avenue is a wonderland for fashion lovers, a shopping paradise where I got lost amongst the racks, trying on stylish new outfits and discovering new trends. But let’s face it, it’s hard to outshine a pink tutu, so I knew exactly what would top off my New York style!
The city truly does offer a wide range of fashions and there's something for everyone, and everyone is in style here. But even amid the cutting-edge trends and designer boutiques, I can’t help but notice that a splash of pink always brightens up any outfit. It adds a dash of fun and femininity that is simply irresistible!

Every week brings new adventures in New York, new people to meet, and new stories to tell. It's the kind of place where the past mingles with the present and every corner holds a unique energy that will inspire you.
