Pink Tutu Blog NYC: New York, New York, It's A Ballet Dream Come True! 🩰✨ (Post #1320)

Hey there, lovelies! It's Emma here, bringing you the latest from the city that never sleeps...and never stops dancing! 🎉 It’s Monday, 21st September 2020, and let me tell you, this week's been a whirl! 🌪️ I’m writing this from a comfy corner in my favourite Central Park café (because, yes, even ballerinas need their caffeine fix!).

Last week was such a whirlwind! It’s crazy to think I’ve been here in New York for a whole year now! 🤯 I've been living the dream - dancing, exploring, and of course, rocking my favourite pink tutu everywhere I go. 💖 And for those of you asking, YES, the pink tutu is definitely catching on here in NYC! 😄 It's almost like the Big Apple itself has embraced the power of pink! 🍎

This past week has been packed with a delicious mix of ballets, broadway shows, and fabulous shopping. So buckle up, babes, because you’re in for a treat! 🎁

It’s All About The Ballet!

So, you know I love a good ballet! I’ve been immersing myself in all the fabulous NYC dance scene offers, and this week was no exception. ✨ On Tuesday night, I saw “Giselle” at the Lincoln Center. The staging was breathtaking! I gasped when the set magically transformed during the second act! And, of course, the dancing was incredible. The story of Giselle is just so powerful, it’s heartbreaking and magical at the same time. 💔💫

Wednesday was dedicated to some solo practice at Steps on Broadway! 🤸‍♀️ It’s my favourite studio in NYC. There’s such a fantastic vibe there, so much creative energy and everyone’s just so friendly and encouraging. Even the seasoned professionals were keen to offer me a little tip or two (with their impeccable grace, of course!) 😉 And afterwards? You guessed it, shopping for my newest tutu – a pale pink one with a sparkling crystal trim! I just couldn’t resist! Sparkle is life! 💖

Lights! Camera! Broadway!

My weekend started with a real treat: "Wicked!" at the Gershwin Theatre. I've been dying to see it ever since I was a little girl in Derbyshire, dreaming of emerald cities and powerful witches. ✨ And let me tell you, the music was phenomenal! And the costumes! Talk about a wardrobe explosion! 👗 I’m thinking I’m going to need to add a splash of green to my wardrobe in honour of Elphaba…

After “Wicked”, the weekend rolled on and I took my beloved tutu to Broadway’s legendary stage door for some impromptu street performance! 💃 The response was AMAZING! I swear, everyone stopped and cheered! 💖 It’s like the city knew exactly what to do when a pink tutu graced their streets! I made a new friend - a tap dancer named Rosie, who joined me for some improvised routines! 👣 The energy was contagious!

Fashion, Food & City Views

As I was saying, my caffeine fix has been coming from this fabulous little café in Central Park! It’s so pretty, and it feels like the perfect blend of nature and city. You know, just like my pink tutu vibe. 🌳 I even saw a group of pigeons performing a coordinated pecking dance. You’ve got to see it to believe it. I think I might use it in my next performance routine… 😉

And speaking of my style, I found this adorable vintage shop near my apartment called "Threadbare Treasures." I found the cutest silk scarf there – a bright pink one with dancing ballerinas! ✨ It looks amazing with my tutu!

The Magical City of Dreams

So there you have it - another week in New York, and I can’t help but say, I’m smitten! 😍 I’m already looking forward to exploring more of this magical city. My heart is full, and my tutu’s still spinning! 💖 I can't wait to see what next week brings.

If you want to join me in the pink tutu movement, use the hashtag #PinkTutuRevolution on your social media. Spread the joy, share your twirls, and let’s bring some extra magic to the world, one tutu at a time! 💖

I hope you’re all having a fabulous week! Stay tuned for more New York adventures from the world of pink tutus… coming soon to www.pink-tutu.com! Love, Emma 😘
