Monday: After arriving in New York City, I made a beeline to the legendary "Pink Lady" – a giant pink balloon that often graces the sky above the city. It felt so right to be starting my trip with this pink icon! Later, I ventured into the heart of SoHo for some vintage fashion hunting - unearthing some gorgeous vintage brooches and earrings, perfect for adding a dash of whimsy to my tutu ensembles!
Tuesday: The New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center beckoned! I had the honour of witnessing the power and elegance of "Giselle" - an exquisite ballet that filled my heart with pure joy.
Wednesday: A touch of glamour awaited me! I immersed myself in the shimmering world of "Moulin Rouge! The Musical," where dazzling costumes, heart-wrenching love stories, and electrifying performances came together to create a show unlike anything I've ever seen.
Thursday: A trip to Central Park! With a pink tutu flowing in the breeze, I took in the fresh air and stunning natural beauty – the perfect setting for a leisurely walk and some serene people-watching!
Friday: I discovered a hidden treasures - a charming bakery nestled within the bustling city. They had the most divine fruit tarts - just what I needed after my ballet class at a nearby dance studio.
Saturday: I felt like a real-life New Yorker! I embarked on an iconic New York subway journey - soaking up the sights and sounds of the city! I even struck up a conversation with a kind man who told me about the history of the New York subway - so fascinating!
Sunday: Back to Derbyshire - home! My time in New York had been a whirlwind of colour, joy, and pure magic. I brought back so much inspiration to fuel my dance classes and my future tutu adventures.
