Hello my dearest Tutu Twirlers! It's Monday again, and I'm back with another sparkling episode of Pink Tutu Blog NYC! This week I'm waltzing straight into your inbox from the bustling heart of New York City. Oh, my darling, this place is a fashionista's dream! Every corner is a runway, every storefront a theatrical set, and every New Yorker, a leading lady or dashing gentleman in their own personal style drama.

This week, I've been exploring a bit of the New York Ballet. What can I say? The energy, the movement, the costumes - they just inspire my little heart! I've got a new favourite step I learned this week. Let me know if you fancy trying it: a little dip, a flick of the wrist, and then you finish it off with a cheeky little pose... It’s all in the flair, you know. 😉

I’m actually going to be dancing with the “Dance New York” company next week at the Central Park Conservatory Gardens – it’s going to be fabulous! If you’re around, come say hi! I always love meeting fellow tutu-wearing comrades in arms! Speaking of comrades, the fabulous Harriet from our “Tutu Sisterhood” is joining me in New York this weekend – so much fun awaits, including a delightful tea at Bergdorf Goodman!

Shopping Spree with a Side of Culture

As any true fashion-loving ballerina knows, the perfect ensemble is key. This week I found myself gliding down 5th Avenue with a shopping list a mile long. I've been dreaming about a new pair of ballerina flats to strut around New York, and trust me, darling, you can find a whole world of shoes here! It's like every designer has created a bespoke shoe specifically for me! From whimsical Mary Jane heels to sparkling platforms, I’m a little bit obsessed. This trip was an absolute feast for my fashion senses, from the flamboyant designs at Alexander McQueen to the charmingly quirky finds at Opening Ceremony. Oh, the endless choices! I think I might just have to pack an extra suitcase.

And after my shoe safari, what could be better than a good old fashioned Broadway show? This time, it was "Cats". Oh, darling! Talk about captivating. It was truly magnificent - the costumes, the makeup, the energy on that stage. And yes, you guessed it - I even spotted a little tutu in the mix! 😹

Metro Adventures: Exploring the City Underneath

A New York journey wouldn't be complete without exploring the city's incredible subway system. Honestly, darling, it's an experience in itself! You're transported from the neon-lit streets into an underground world teeming with colourful personalities and hidden stories. Every station feels like its own artistic installation, and you never know who you might bump into on a train!

Food and Fashion - the Perfect Pair

No trip to New York is complete without some delicious indulgence. Let’s talk cheesecake, my dears. 🤤 This week I’ve discovered an amazing bakery on the Upper West Side, where the cheesecake is truly heaven in a crust! I even bought some back for the ballet school - they will adore it. Speaking of, let’s not forget the most important meal of the day - brunch! Imagine: crispy hash browns, perfectly fluffy pancakes and a glass of sparkling mimosa in a cafe overlooking Central Park. Heaven! But don’t forget to top it off with a bright, stylish look! Nothing says “New York City brunch” quite like a flowy floral dress with a pop of pink in the accessories!

Pink Power: A Message from my Heart
