Hello lovelies! It's your favourite pink tutu wearing ballerina, Emma, back with another scintillating blog post from the vibrant streets of New York City! 🏙️ I can't believe it's December already - time seems to be flying by! This week has been absolutely jam-packed with dancing, dazzling displays, and delicious delights - oh, and did I mention shopping?!

This week's adventure started bright and early with a subway ride from my little Brooklyn flat, tutu swishing in the breeze as I embraced the morning commute like a true New Yorker. The subway always brings a kaleidoscope of characters – from bustling businessmen to free-spirited artists, each with their own story. I love feeling the pulse of the city, soaking it all in like a sponge, even as I squeeze myself onto the packed carriages! It’s an experience unlike anything back home in Derbyshire.
And what a week it has been! Here's a quick peek into my New York City diaries:
Saturday - A Sparkling Spectacular at the Ballet
As any self-respecting ballerina, Saturday was dedicated to the sublime art of dance! I had the pleasure of experiencing the legendary American Ballet Theatre performing "Swan Lake". The stage transformed into a world of magic, the music swirled around us, and the dancers painted a tapestry of emotion through their movements. The swans were so graceful and the princes so charming! I even snagged a picture with the leading lady – I nearly fainted with excitement! 💖
Sunday - Broadway Bliss and Fashion Fiasco
Sunday was a whirlwind of Broadway, shopping and an embarrassing fashion faux pas (you'll just have to wait for my next post to hear all about that!). 😉 I watched a phenomenal performance of "Hamilton", a captivating story of ambition, betrayal, and historical heroes told with incredible energy and originality. If you ever get the chance to see it, I implore you to snap it up!
Afterwards, my little feet took me straight to the infamous Macy's, where I practically got lost in a world of fabulous fashion. Imagine rows upon rows of sequins, velvet, and lace! It's a shopper's paradise! I snagged a couple of pink tutus - can you really ever have too many? – a vibrant fuchsia one, and a chic pale pink one, perfect for a city stroll. 🛍️
Monday – My New York Must-Do List
And here we are, back on a Monday, and I've got so much more to tell you! You wouldn't believe the treasures I unearthed on my shopping spree - a sparkling pink sequined purse, and a stunning ballet-inspired evening gown (I can already picture myself twirling in it). I am simply obsessed!
Today's adventure is a little bit special – a visit to the world-famous Central Park. A wander through its serene pathways, under the wintery New York sky, should be just what the doctor ordered for my ballet-tired legs! 🌳 Who knows, I might even find some inspiring street ballet performance - NYC is filled with the unexpected, right?
