Hello darlings! ?
Emma here, back from another whirlwind week in the Big Apple. It's a new week, so you know what that means...a new pink tutu! Well, two actually! You'll be seeing a peek at them both in today's blog post. ?
It's been a truly sensational few days filled with dance, fashion, and all the glitter New York City has to offer! As usual, I’m ready to take you with me on my adventures, but before we get into the details, I want to know… what’s been going on in your week? Any exciting news to share? The Ballet Bliss
This week’s ballet performance was utterly magical! We all know my love for a good ballet show. It’s like an escape to another world. This time around, I saw "Swan Lake" at the legendary Lincoln Center, a performance that just had me twirling with delight (both in my seat and at home later, haha!). I even snuck in a sneaky Instagram photo with a couple of fellow ballet lovers after the performance. It's not often you get a chance to meet your fellow ballet fanatics in person!
The show itself? Oh my! Absolutely breathtaking! The dancers were exquisite, and the music transported me to another time. You know, sometimes, the way those ballerinas gracefully soar across the stage makes me think... perhaps a tutu would look rather nice with a casual ensemble. ? We all deserve to embrace a little bit of that graceful ballet magic in our lives, wouldn't you say?
A Touch of Fashion and a Whole Lot of Pink
Of course, my time in NYC isn’t complete without a good shopping spree. I’m such a sucker for a new pink piece! This time, I found two delightful additions to my wardrobe - a vibrant coral satin dress that screamed "New York" and a sparkly hot pink tulle top that will look absolutely fabulous with my ballet-inspired outfits!
Shopping in NYC is a whole experience. The sheer energy is enough to get anyone excited, but my tip? Be ready to wear comfy shoes! The walk between boutiques can be long. I swear, the other day I took two metro journeys, wandered past half of the city, and then realised I’d forgotten to pick up a souvenir! I promise, my little memory slip ups won't stop me from bringing you more dazzling style tips and pink fashion adventures in the coming weeks. I always try my best!
Speaking of the metro… ah, my favourite mode of transport. I love the feeling of hurtling through those underground tunnels. I know it sounds strange but sometimes I feel so liberated. My little tutu whirls around my ankles in that tiny space and I always think about how long I can balance in the standing section when the train suddenly stops (that might be why my handbag always feels heavy!). But really, you get a fascinating view of New York City through its underground veins. There's a certain kind of beauty down there, wouldn’t you say?
Keeping Up the Pink Tutu Revolution
My dream? To see everyone twirling in a pink tutu. Can you imagine it, my darlings? The entire city bathed in pink tulle, everyone radiating joy and happiness! Think about the colour of pink. It’s a vibrant and lively shade that symbolises joy and fun, the very essence of my adventures. Don't you think it’s time we added more pink to our lives, especially in the grey-toned days of fall?
So, here's my challenge for you. Pick a day this week - even just one hour - and wear a pink tutu. It can be for an outing, for an online meeting, or even just for fun while at home. Get that pink tulle swaying and spread the love. Remember, it doesn't have to be a traditional ballet tutu; you can adapt a tulle skirt for your style. Have fun and get creative with it! The pink tutu world is a magical place, you know.
