Hello my darling dears! It's Monday, and you know what that means? It's Pink Tutu Blog NYC day! Get ready to step into my world, where pink is always in season, tutus are the ultimate statement, and the rhythm of New York City is the soundtrack to my life.
This week, I'm bouncing back from a whirlwind weekend of ballet bliss! My suitcase is crammed with sequined dresses, glitter shoes, and a mountain of photographs. Just last night, I pirouetted my way out of the theatre after a breathtaking performance of “Giselle.” I had been looking forward to it for ages. My toes still haven't stopped tapping.
The energy in the theatre was electric, and as soon as the curtain rose, I was completely transported to a world of ethereal beauty. It’s these kinds of moments that remind me why I live for ballet. It's not just a performance, it's an art form, a celebration of the human spirit. It’s also where I get my creative juices flowing for my pink tutu fashion inspiration!
Speaking of my fashion muse, I did manage to snag some fabulous pieces in between rehearsals and performances this weekend. New York really is a shopper’s paradise. My favourite vintage store on Bleecker Street is simply divine! I snagged a magnificent cerise blouse and a darling little pink velvet clutch for my next soirée. I also managed to snag some seriously beautiful silk flowers at the Flower District to embellish some of my tutu-licious outfits for a future photoshoot. I’m all about mixing and matching. I even picked up a brand-new pair of pink Converse to jazz up my outfit. I may be a ballerina, but my style definitely crosses the lines of classic, contemporary, and everything in between.
This weekend, I really fell back in love with the buzz of New York City. The energy of the city is almost tangible; I could practically taste it on my tongue as I rode the subway (my personal favourite mode of transport – it’s a whirlwind of personality!). This week, I am off to the heart of the theatre district to catch a new ballet piece about the life of Coco Chanel – and then onto a delightful soirée with friends in Brooklyn! It's going to be another unforgettable week.
