Hello darlings! Emma here, back with another dazzling escapade from the most magnificent city in the world: New York City! ? It's Monday 20th December 2027, and as always, my pink tutu and I are ready to twirl our way through a day packed with pink-tastic adventures. ?
This week, my journey began back in good old Derbyshire. I must confess, I nearly missed my train! I'd been so engrossed in designing my new tutu for the New York performance season that I was practically late for the station! A bit of a rush, but of course, I made it in time with seconds to spare – a dash of my pink glitter lipstick for good luck, and I was off. ?
As the train trundled towards London, I couldn't help but dream of all the delights that awaited me in New York. This week's itinerary was crammed with a magnificent mix of ballet shows, Broadway delights, and a splash of seriously stylish shopping, naturally! ?
A Dance into the City that Never Sleeps
New York City always greets me with open arms…and open subways! The journey from Grand Central Station to my fabulous Manhattan apartment was as always, a delightful whirlwind of chattering tourists, stylish locals, and a hint of that magical New York energy. ?
First stop, the American Ballet Theatre for a prima ballerina masterclass! The room buzzed with energy as seasoned dancers from all walks of life warmed up, their graceful movements radiating focus and determination. Even a seasoned ballerina like myself, who's used to performing for thousands, couldn't help but feel a twinge of excitement at the prospect of learning from the best. ?
Pink Princess on Broadway
Now, darlings, you all know that I live for Broadway! The energy, the spectacle, the sheer artistry - it's utterly intoxicating! And this week, my tastebuds were truly tantalised. My choice was Wicked – what better way to spend an evening than transported to the whimsical world of Oz, complete with unforgettable music and dazzling choreography? ?
The performance was simply breathtaking. The sheer scale of the production, the sheer power of the performers, and of course, the stunning costumes, truly left me in awe. Oh, and let's not forget those truly divine sparkly emerald shoes! (If I wasn't on a tutu mission, I would've bought those!). ✨
A Shopping Spree with Style
Of course, no New York trip is complete without a bit of retail therapy, wouldn't you agree? After the performance, a visit to the legendary Bloomingdale's was a must! As a self-proclaimed champion of pink, the pink department (of course it exists!) is a true Mecca of style, glamour and utter pink-tastic delight.
And I wasn't just window shopping, my lovelies. I snagged the most incredible pair of rose-gold pumps, which are utterly fabulous, as well as the cutest sequined pink clutch bag, the perfect addition to my collection of dance accessories. ?
A New York Christmas – Under a Blanket of Pink
It’s almost Christmas! (Although, to be honest, with all my pink and glitter, I’m sure everyone thinks it’s Christmas every day anyway!). ?
A stroll through Rockefeller Center under a sky dazzling with twinkly lights felt almost like stepping into a Christmas card! ? I simply adore this time of year in New York - the air crackles with excitement, and everyone seems a little brighter. Of course, no trip to New York is complete without a selfie in front of that magnificent Christmas tree. (See if you can spot the hint of pink tulle peeking out in the photo! ?)
A Twirl through Times Square – On Point!
No matter how many times I’ve visited this phenomenal city, a trip to Times Square is a must! The towering billboards, the bustling streets, the sheer spectacle of it all – Times Square is truly unique. A true testament to New York City's boundless energy, and let's not forget, an ideal opportunity for some rather striking dance poses! ?

A City Full of Hope and Grace
I adore my weekly trips to this beautiful city! New York is always alive with a magical, optimistic energy, always brimming with talent and bursting with excitement. I am drawn to its vibrancy, the never-ending buzz of life that permeates every corner. And the opportunities for dance, shopping and entertainment are, frankly, mind-blowing.
And of course, I leave with my own heart overflowing with a kind of graceful, inspiring energy that propels me towards the next step in my dance journey!
