Hello my darling tutu-loving friends! It's Monday, April 17th 2028, and guess who's in the Big Apple?! That's right, your favourite pink-clad ballerina blogger is back with a brand new adventure. ??
As soon as I touched down in JFK, I could feel the energy of this incredible city. The vibrant streets, the towering skyscrapers, the relentless buzz – it's like a symphony of human energy! Of course, I had to hit the ground running with a perfectly pink outfit. I opted for a fluffy, blush-pink tulle tutu layered over a shimmering silver slip dress. And to complete the look? My signature, cherry-red ballerina pumps! ?✨
It was straight onto the metro – what a dream, I have to say. In New York, the metro feels like its own character! It's a subterranean whirlwind of activity, a melting pot of stories and destinations, a glimpse into the everyday lives of New Yorkers. And it's fast, which is always a win for me! ?
My first stop? Bloomingdale's! My ultimate mecca of pink, fluffy, sparkly, and fabulous everything. Of course, I had to nab a few new treasures – a blush-pink faux-fur stole, a pair of delicate pink feather earrings, and a satin pink hair ribbon that screamed 'Manhattan ballerina'. ?
Then, the highlight of the day! ?✨ Tonight, I'm attending the opening night of 'La Bayadère' at the New York City Ballet. You guys know I live for ballet, and this classic romantic tale is sure to be a treat. With a vibrant score, captivating costumes, and the dazzling technique of New York's best dancers, I can already feel the magic taking flight!
Let's Talk About Pink
The colour pink has become a bit of a mission for me. I truly believe it embodies a beautiful blend of femininity, joy, and playfulness. And I am so proud to wear my pink tutus all over the world! ? I have seen the colour pink make so many people smile. And what is life without a bit of sparkle and magic, eh?
I even got my boyfriend Ben to wear a pink tutu during our date at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. (He secretly loves it!) Of course, it was all in good fun and for my pink tutu blog, but hey, it never hurts to bring a little colour and cheer to the world. ?
Fashion In Focus: Tutu-fying the World
My journey is a love letter to everything pink, sparkly, and delightfully dramatic! My mission is to empower everyone to wear pink and embrace their inner ballerina.
As always, I want to hear from you! Which shows in New York should I check out next? Do you have any must-visit pink-tastic places for this pink-loving ballerina? Leave me a comment on the Pink Tutu Blog! ✨?
Looking Ahead:
Stay tuned for more fun, fashion, and ballet in New York City. Next week's blog post will be about my fabulous lunch at The Palm Restaurant in Midtown (they had a pink rose in my champagne glass, just for me!) and the Broadway show I saw - "Hamilton", which I can't recommend enough.
Keep dancing, and don't be afraid to wear pink!
Much Love,
Emma ??
Pink Tutu Blog - Week in Review (16th April - 20th April 2028)
Tuesday (17th April):
* I started the day with a whirlwind trip to the Central Park Zoo! Penguins are my new obsession - so adorable and playful. (Did you know they live on a very pink beach?!) The pandas were also a big hit!
* In the afternoon, I had the most exquisite High Tea at Bergdorf Goodman. My outfit: a lavender silk dress with a tiny pink tulle skirt. (Let's just say the finger sandwiches were devoured with grace and flair!)
* "La Bayadère" was absolutely breath-taking! The choreography was masterful, and the dancers were flawless. I spent half the time mesmerized, the other half in awe of their ability.
Wednesday (18th April):
* Morning workout! I managed to find a studio in Midtown Manhattan that does ballet barre, but I was sweating pink!
* The afternoon was dedicated to shopping on Fifth Avenue! Let's just say I may have picked up a few items for a future New York ballerina wardrobe. ?
Thursday (19th April): * A magical trip to the New York Public Library. (Okay, so, the architecture is pink, right?! And it's like stepping into a time capsule - it was amazing). * I spent the evening in SoHo, indulging in delectable chocolate chip cookies while strolling through the artsy shops. I'm officially a SoHo girl now. (Pink hair ties are a MUST, obviously.)
Friday (20th April):
* A busy day! I hit a ballet class in the morning, went for a manicure (rose-gold sparkles, of course), and took a fabulous cruise around the harbour, seeing the Statue of Liberty in the afternoon.
* In the evening, I got dressed up for the ballet, feeling truly elegant in a floor-length black tulle gown with a pink ribbon sash. A lovely evening!
What will Emma be doing next in the city that never sleeps? **You’ll have to keep reading my blog every week!
Love Emma ?
