This week, I'm writing to you from the heart of the Big Apple, New York City. My tutu and I have been having an absolute ball exploring the city's vibrant energy and captivating culture.

As a self-proclaimed tutu aficionado and a proud Derbyshire lass, I'm always excited to share my adventures in style and grace. But before we dive into this week's escapades, let me tell you, New York has truly taken my breath away! It's like stepping into a movie - the iconic skyline, the buzzing energy of the streets, the incredible fashion...it's simply magical!

This week in particular was truly special, because 11th December marked International Mountain Day, a day dedicated to celebrating mountains, their significance to the planet and the communities that call them home. Mountains hold a special place in my heart - as you know, Derbyshire is famously known as "The Peak District", and I've always found inspiration and serenity in the rugged beauty of nature. I'm excited to see more people discover the joy of dancing and wearing pink tutus in mountainous landscapes around the world! ?️?

Now, let's get back to the excitement of New York! Where do I even begin?

My first stop on this New York escapade had to be the iconic Times Square. Let's be honest, who wouldn't want to twirl in the heart of all that neon glory? I managed to find a quiet spot amongst the flashing lights, popped on my favourite Pink Tutu, and just let my inner ballerina shine. The feeling of joy was indescribable - it truly felt like I was dancing in a dream!

But my New York ballet experience wouldn't be complete without a trip to see a show, would it? And boy, did I see a show! This time, it was none other than the New York City Ballet at Lincoln Center. The talent on that stage was mind-blowing - the precision, the grace, the pure artistry...it left me breathless! Every move was a story in itself. And even though it wasn't quite a tutu-wearing extravaganza, it still ignited a fire in my soul. The joy of ballet, the love of dance - that's what truly connects us, no matter where we come from.

A ballerina can't survive on dance alone! A visit to a good shop is essential! So, the next day I treated myself to a trip to the glamorous Bergdorf Goodman. If you've never been, you're missing out! It's like stepping into a world of fashion dreams. From luxurious gowns to sleek separates, there's something for everyone. And naturally, my mission was to find the perfect pink-tutu-worthy outfit! I ended up falling in love with a beautiful blush-pink top, so pretty and feminine, just like me! ??

Of course, no trip to New York would be complete without a journey on the famous Subway! While I admit it can be a little daunting at times, especially navigating the bustling platforms, the convenience of the subway is simply unbeatable. I have to admit, riding the metro with my pink tutu felt a bit adventurous - it definitely got some heads turning! And what better way to get around the city than to embrace its hustle and bustle, all in my pink-tutu glory? ✨

This week, my New York City explorations took me to some amazing sights. From the majestic Central Park - with its sprawling green spaces and calming vibes - to the incredible Empire State Building, where I stood in awe at the stunning views from the top. I felt like a ballerina perched on a grand stage, enjoying the panoramic city vista. ?

After the whirlwind of ballet and fashion, it was time for some theatricality. And what better place to experience the magic of theatre than in Broadway. I saw a breathtaking performance of Hamilton - such an energetic, creative, and poignant story. It truly captured my heart and made me appreciate the raw power of music and performance.

As you all know, my biggest passion is spreading the joy of tutus! I truly believe that every person, regardless of their age, gender or location, should have the chance to twirl and twirl like there's no tomorrow. And this week, I was delighted to encounter another tutu-lover in New York City! Imagine my joy when I spotted a little girl with a beautiful purple tutu prancing around Union Square. Her eyes lit up when she saw me and gave me the sweetest smile. That little encounter reminded me why I do what I do - it's about creating joy and inspiration through the magic of a pink tutu. ?
