Hello my darlings!
Welcome back to another exciting Monday and another instalment of your favourite pink-tastic travelogue! Today's post is a particularly special one as I'm bursting to tell you all about my latest adventures in the Big Apple - New York City! I'm officially a city girl for the week and, believe me, I'm absolutely soaking up the hustle and bustle!
It was such a joyous moment when I boarded the plane last week. Excitement bubbling inside me like champagne in a flute, I couldn't wait to lose myself in the vibrant tapestry of New York. Just imagine, me, in my signature pink tutu, swirling around the iconic Times Square - a girl can dream, can't she?
Speaking of my favourite pink twirly creation, this week's tutu is a particularly show-stopping one. Picture a symphony of pale pink tulle, so voluminous and graceful, with shimmering pink sequins twinkling like city lights in the dusk. A dazzling contrast against the backdrop of Manhattan's skyscrapers! I know I've said it before, but I genuinely believe a tutu can take you anywhere, even if you're simply traversing the subway system (don't worry, my fellow ballet-loving travellers, the underground system in NYC is much easier to navigate than London's tube)!
This week has already been crammed with fabulous experiences. I was lucky enough to catch a brilliant performance by the New York City Ballet. As always, the costumes and choreography left me completely mesmerised. Afterwards, I found myself in the midst of a truly inspiring ballet street performance. I felt like I'd stumbled upon a secret garden of grace and passion - just me, my trusty pink tutu, and a dozen beautifully talented souls moving like windswept leaves on a magical stage.
I can't talk about New York without mentioning the glorious shopping! Every corner I turn throws a new fashion gem in my path. On Sunday, I popped into a darling vintage boutique and found a beautiful pair of pale pink gloves with a vintage lace design - just the perfect finishing touch for any fancy dress occasion! This city is a treasure trove for a budding ballerina like me, and it’s making me want to pack even more clothes in my suitcase!
But what truly captures my heart is the sheer spirit of this city. From the energetic energy of the crowds to the street art on the corner walls, there's a constant vibrancy that makes you feel alive! It's no wonder so many creative people are drawn here - the energy of the city fuels them!
And oh, how can I forget to tell you about my absolutely fabulous stay in a stunning, quintessentially New York apartment? My little haven, a cozy haven perched atop the city, filled with light, colour and an abundance of pink-tinged inspiration. Just perfect for a writer on the go like me!

January 29th in Derbyshire: It seems the people of Derbyshire have woken up to a crisp winter's day, perfect for bundling up in warm layers, going for a invigorating walk in the Peak District, or sipping a hot cuppa in a cosy pub. I hope you're enjoying a wonderfully restful Monday morning before you kick off your week with a twinkle in your eye and a skip in your step!
Now back to New York City. Remember, there's something so magical about travelling with a tutu in tow. It’s not just an outfit, it's an invitation to joy and adventure, to dance and twirl through every street and explore every hidden alleyway! And trust me, New York is a city just waiting to be twirled in.
Oh, how I long to dance amongst the towering buildings of this magnificent city! But, for now, I'm busy soaking up the magic through the lens of my camera and documenting it all for you in my weekly blog posts. Be sure to check back in next week, as I'm already planning some exciting events – a delicious high tea with my favourite ballerina influencer, a trip to a ballet class where everyone dances in pink tutus (yes, you read that right!) and a night out at a glamorous musical theatre show!

P.S. I can't forget to tell you about the most gorgeous piece of jewellery I found on Saturday: a delicate pink enamel ballet shoe pendant! It’s absolutely enchanting and now sits proudly on my pink satin choker, ready to twinkle under the glittering city lights!
