Hello lovelies! It's Monday, which means it's time for another Pink Tutu Blog NYC post, and I am SO excited to share all the fabulousness that's been happening here in the city that never sleeps! This week has been a whirlwind of tutus, sequins, and enough pink to make a flamingo blush, so grab your favourite pink lemonade and let's dive in! ?
Post Number 1794 - The Big Apple Balletomania!
As you know, my motto is "life's too short to wear boring clothes" and even shorter without a good dose of ballet, so this week has been an absolute dream. I arrived in NYC on Friday, and since then, I've been hopping between Broadway shows, ballet classes, and discovering the city's hidden gems - all with a healthy dose of shopping, naturally! ?
Tutuing Around Broadway
Let's talk Broadway, shall we? The energy here is simply electric, and the performances are top-notch! On Saturday, I saw "A Chorus Line", a show that has become a staple of my pink-tutu-loving soul! The dancers were incredible, and the music had me tapping my toes - and tutus, of course! After the show, I met up with some fellow tutu enthusiasts at a delightful cafe called "The Sugar Plum Fairy", where we giggled over our cupcakes and planned our next tutu-filled adventure.
Dance, Dance, Dance!
On Sunday, I decided to join a ballet class at the legendary School of American Ballet - a bucket-list experience for any ballerina! It was amazing to see young, passionate dancers, all working towards their dream. I was fortunate enough to have a session with a phenomenal teacher, Ms. Lily, who really pushed me to elevate my skills. I left feeling invigorated and even more inspired! ?
Pink Paradise Shopping Spree!
Now, you all know my love for shopping knows no bounds, but there's something special about the energy of Fifth Avenue. The city just vibrates with style and glamour. This week, I had a bit of a pink overload! My shopping spree included the most beautiful pair of blush pink stilettos, a sparkly pink handbag, and, of course, a new tutu! Yes, I admit it, I have a small problem with tutu hoarding... ?️?
Tutu Therapy and the Subway Blues
Even after a week of nonstop tutu-filled activities, the magic of New York never ceases to amaze me. There's something incredibly liberating about wandering through Central Park, watching street performers, and simply taking in the incredible atmosphere. The city has a way of recharging your creative soul. Speaking of soul-recharging, the subway system in New York is something of an acquired taste. Let's just say that the seats aren't quite as spacious as they are in the Tube back home in Derbyshire! ? But, let me tell you, nothing beats watching the city go by from the window of the metro, tutu and all!
Monday Mood and My Next Adventure!
I must say, I feel like a million bucks this Monday! Feeling re-energized, full of pink-tutu-power, and ready to face whatever adventures this week has in store! Tomorrow, I'm heading to see a show at the Metropolitan Opera - the legendary Met - and I'm wearing my most fabulous, sparkly pink tutu, of course! ??
