Paris Diaries - Week 4: Bonjour, Fashionistas! 🇫🇷✨

Hello my gorgeous girlies, and welcome back to my Paris blog! This week has been absolutely bursting with magic, just like my overflowing pink tutu. It feels like every moment in Paris is a ballet in itself – graceful buildings, charming cafés, and even the pigeons strutting like little prima donnas.

This Saturday was especially grand because guess what?! I found the most magnificent vintage shop near the Seine! Imagine my delight when I discovered a whole rack of glorious pink tutus – and I didn’t even need to beg a sweet little cherub to hand them over like last week at the Montmartre shop! Winks mischievously Needless to say, I practically pirouetted out of the store with a delightful little feather boa and a bewitching beaded headband, which, I might add, will make a fabulous addition to my collection.

Eurostar Dreams & City of Lights Glamour

Oh, darling, it's all about the journey! You know me, always dreaming about the perfect train journey, a carriage plusher than a velvet box and with a view more dazzling than a thousand starlit ballets. The Eurostar is just the ticket - gliding us across the English Channel like a fairy godmother whisking me to a magical ball. Sips sparkling water Speaking of magical balls, this week we saw a delightful production of "Sleeping Beauty" at the Opéra Garnier, darling. Oh my, the costumes were exquisite - feathers, silks, and enough sparkle to make the chandeliers blush! The music made me feel as light as a feather… and it certainly made me want to put on my most exquisite tutu and twirl all night.

Bonjour, Boulangeries & Chic Boutiques

Before the ballet, we explored the Montmartre neighborhood - winding, narrow streets like a dancer’s arms intertwined, a constant flurry of charming bakeries, bookstalls bursting with literature, and the most incredible view of Paris I’ve ever seen. From atop the Sacré-Coeur Basilica, I swear I could see right into the very heart of the city!

Of course, I couldn’t resist a few pastries, and those Parisian bakeries! Oh, my darling, a pastry explosion of delights for all senses. From the buttery croissants, with their perfectly flaking layers, to the delicate éclairs bursting with cream - pure Parisian heaven. And did you know there's this incredible bakery just down the road from my little flat with pink macarons decorated with miniature ballet shoes?! How divine is that?

Finding Beauty in Every Step

You know, my dearest readers, I find something so magical in simply strolling through the streets of Paris, with a little pink tutu twirling gently behind me. I've taken a ballet class here too, you see. Imagine, learning elegant pirouettes in a studio overlooking the Eiffel Tower.

After a ballet class, you know what’s absolutely the best thing to do in Paris? Dramatically pauses You simply must enjoy a warm, strong espresso with the tastiest slice of buttery, golden cake, perched at a Parisian café overlooking the Eiffel Tower as the sunset casts its magical glow across the city. That moment, that magical, captivating moment – well, darling, that is truly the very essence of Paris!
