Pink Tutu Paris - #PinkTutuBlogParis - Post No. 10 - Saturday 4th March 2000 🩰

Bonjour mes chéries! It's Emma here, your favourite tutu-wearing traveller, reporting live from the City of Lights! I can't believe it's been a whole week since I last posted – Paris is just THAT captivating. My last blog post was all about arriving in Paris and exploring Montmartre, now I've settled in, I thought it was time for a little Parisian adventure, so, on Saturday morning I jumped on the Eurostar – a sleek and swish way to travel, I'll have you know - and headed to the Louvre.

Imagine this: Me, my favourite pink tulle tutu and an enormous Parisian bakery next door. I decided on a decadent breakfast of croissants and coffee before venturing in to the Louvre. I swear, the Louvre is as grand and ornate as its famous artworks, with sweeping stairways, ornate ceilings and walls adorned with golden scrollwork. I felt like I was transported straight into a fairytale!

My Museum Morning

After grabbing my ticket I, of course, had to find a perfect Parisian picture spot. A mirror, right next to the entrance, was perfect – I spun round, twirling in my pink tulle delight, while admiring the Louvre's magnificence. This is why you should travel with your tutu - you never know where it'll make you sparkle!

Firstly, we went in search of the Mona Lisa. The queue was, thankfully, not as long as I had heard and it was worth it! A bit like me in a pink tutu, she just commands your attention. Then, it was on to the Greek statues. These always give me inspiration for my ballet moves - you've got to be strong, elegant and expressive, all at the same time. Then, the masterpiece that truly stopped me in my tracks was Venus de Milo. Honestly, the beauty of her form was almost tangible – a reminder that classical art, like ballet, has the power to stir your soul. I just had to get a photo with her, to capture this incredible experience forever.

Now, you can’t go to Paris and not visit the Eiffel Tower, right? So, that's where I headed next. I could see her majestic iron form reaching high into the sky as I travelled by taxi. The iconic structure really is impressive! I whirled and twirled across the plaza, my tutu catching the wind like a joyous dance. Oh, Paris, you are pure magic!

An Afternoon Of Elegance & Shopping

Parisian evenings are like being swept into a timeless movie scene. I went for a luxurious walk around the Place Vendôme – just a dream in itself. Every corner of this chic square seemed to whisper secrets of glamour and sophistication. From stunning jewellery boutiques and designer boutiques to stunning 19th-century buildings. Oh, it was heavenly!

Before you could blink, it was time to pick out the perfect dress for the night! I wanted a touch of Parisian magic, something that made me feel confident and ready for an evening of magic. This dress was the one – soft lavender silk, flowing fabric and elegant detailing, I could have been mistaken for a ballerina at the Paris Opera House. My wardrobe is now one outfit richer for this fabulous find.

Speaking of ballerinas – what a way to end a day than at the Salle Pleyel, a beautiful concert hall in the heart of Paris. My legs felt like they had twirled enough for the day, so I opted for watching, not performing. Tonight's programme was the work of one of my favourite composers – Pyotr Tchaikovsky – and what a spectacle! It was absolutely thrilling - an incredible symphony that was, dare I say, even more moving than my usual ballet performances. The entire room seemed to pulsate with his music and the performance was breathtaking, it transported me to a whole other world of emotions. It's moments like this I love - where art and music take my breath away!

Paris in My Heart

Paris - my lovely Parisian dream, I could write a book on just my adventures so far. I’ll definitely be returning, because this Parisian magic, it never really leaves your heart, it just lingers and makes you want to dance again and again! So much for today's #PinkTutuBlogParis. Stay tuned next Saturday for another Parisian adventure, I can hardly wait to share it with you. Remember, every day is a chance to add a bit of pink tutu magic to your life! À bientôt! 💖
