Pink Tutu Paris - #15 - Bonjour, Paris! (And My Tutu Travels By EuroStar)

Hello lovelies!

It's Emma here, back from another fabulous adventure and ready to spill the tea (and pink tulle!) about my latest Paris escapade!

As you all know, I simply adore Paris! The city of love, of course, but also of fashion, of elegance, of beautiful architecture, and yes, believe it or not, of ballet! For someone who dreams in pink tutus and pirouettes, Paris is a wonderland of dreams coming true.

This weekend was all about Paris, baby! I packed my (admittedly ridiculously enormous) suitcase full of the latest pink frocks and, naturally, my favourite tutu (the one with the glittery pink ribbon) and set off from Derbyshire for the ultimate Paris fashion fix!

The journey itself was an absolute dream, darling! It's amazing what you can achieve with a comfy Eurostar ride! It’s the perfect way to get from Derbyshire to Paris - especially for a pink-tutu-clad ballerina who enjoys a bit of extra leg room and time for people-watching (in the most glamorous way possible, of course).

Let me tell you, arriving in Paris Gare du Nord, with the city twinkling at me like a thousand little Parisian stars, is the stuff of fairytales. You’d think they’d set up a photoshoot just for me with a pink convertible car in the background!

I can't leave my travel blogs without mentioning my favourite fashion moments on the journey. I absolutely fell in love with the sweetest little hat shop right next to the Gare du Nord station! It was crammed full of beautiful vintage hats - feathers, sequins, you name it! Naturally, I had to pick up a few for my Paris adventures (a little splash of pink, a few pastel-toned flower accents… you know me!)

Paris Saturday: Ballet, Fashion, & French Charm

Saturday was a full day of Parisian loveliness! The day started with an exquisite treat – the Paris Opera Ballet. Seeing the beauty of “Giselle” come to life on the stage, danced with such grace and precision, was pure magic.

I love the energy of ballet in Paris. It's like they take you on a whimsical journey. Honestly, sometimes it makes me want to pack my ballet shoes and just pirouette through the streets! (Of course, I have to stick to actual streets... can you imagine a ballerina doing a pirouette in the middle of a Paris Métro train?! The look on the faces of the commuters! 😄)

After the ballet, I found myself exploring the city's hidden gem – Le Marais! I am in absolute love with this charming district! Imagine cobbled streets filled with beautiful boutiques, antique shops overflowing with treasures, and delectable patisseries offering exquisite cakes and macarons. My kind of Parisian paradise!

Of course, a little retail therapy is always in order, darling. Paris is like a dream come true for someone like me, you see! It was pure bliss trying on stunning vintage outfits and elegant hats! I know, I know, you think I’m obsessed with tutus but even the most seasoned pink tutu princess needs a break sometimes!

You might be wondering: Did I see a Parisian ballet street performance? Yes, darling, you know me! They are just irresistible! Imagine a beautiful Parisian park with live music playing while an elegant ballerina twirls with effortless grace, her tutu shimmering in the afternoon sun. Pure poetry in motion, right?

I truly believe everyone should wear a tutu! Life is too short not to have a little fun and whimsy, and tutus definitely deliver both! You might be surprised how many people are ready to try a pink tutu after seeing how confident and happy it makes me feel! It’s true what they say – the best accessory is confidence!

To be honest, I find it hard to put this into words. There’s truly magic in Paris! You have to feel it yourself. Stay tuned for my upcoming posts! My next stop - the iconic Louvre museum - I am especially excited about the Leonardo da Vinci exhibits!

See you next Saturday!

Stay stylish,

Emma
