#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 37: Ooh La La, Paris! 🇫🇷🩰

Bonjour mes amies! It's Emma here, reporting live from the City of Lights! Can you believe it, I'm actually in Paris, the most romantic, chic, and utterly enchanting city on the planet! This Parisian escapade is all thanks to a rather lovely performance at the Theatre Royal, Derby. The audience adored my 'Swan Lake' rendition (extra twirls for you, Derbyshire!) and the proceeds meant I could finally make this dream a reality. The Eurostar whizzed me here, I love that journey – so civilised, and no traffic!

Day 1 - Parisian Dreams in Pink

Paris was an explosion of sensations as I stepped out of Gare du Nord. The cobblestones were like a melody under my ballet shoes, the scent of fresh croissants and warm bread lingered in the air, and, my word, the fashion! So much chic Parisian style to inspire a tutu-wearing girl like me! Of course, my trusty pink tutu wasn't going to stay tucked away in my suitcase. I swirled onto the streets, embracing the Parisian spirit in my favourite outfit. People were looking, smiling, some even taking pictures (don't worry, I did my signature twirl for them!).

A Tutus and Tartlets Tea Time

No Parisian adventure is complete without a delicious tea time. I found a hidden gem, a delightful little cafe nestled on a side street off Rue de Rivoli, where they had the most exquisite petit fours and, of course, steaming hot cups of tea. As I nibbled on a rosewater tartlet, I took in the Parisian charm, watched elegant Parisians stroll by, and pondered my tutu plans. It wouldn't be fair to stay at just one cafe – oh no, the city is overflowing with delights waiting to be devoured, both sweet and stylish!

Parisian Performance - A Ballet Masterpiece

And then it happened – the perfect ballet experience in the City of Love. A stunning production of ‘Giselle’ at the magnificent Palais Garnier. It was pure magic! The exquisite costumes, the flawless technique of the dancers, the incredible choreography… It had me utterly captivated from the first note to the final bow. After all, ballet is the ultimate art form, a whirlwind of emotions expressed through graceful movement and flowing tulle. And just for fun, I did my own mini-performance on the way out! The look on the faces of the fellow ballet enthusiasts… priceless!

Fashion Fun - Discovering Paris Chic

This morning, I decided to get my fill of Parisian fashion. The Marais is a fashionista's paradise. Boutiques, designer shops, independent stores, they are everywhere! The colours, the fabrics, the intricate details… oh my, this is pure Parisian fashion heaven. I even managed to find a shop that sold beautiful vintage ballet shoes - so perfect for adding a touch of vintage flair to my own ballet wardrobe.

The Pink Tutu Vision Takes Paris

Every Parisian adventure must include a stroll down the Champs-Élysées. As I twirled down the boulevard, feeling every Parisian heartbeat, it struck me… why wouldn’t every girl in the world embrace the joy and beauty of a pink tutu?

This vision is getting bolder. Every woman has an inner ballerina, waiting to be unleashed! It doesn’t matter your size, shape, or age. This isn't just about dancing, it’s about expressing your unique style and feeling like a whimsical, fabulous princess. So ladies, join me on this journey – let's bring pink tutus to the streets of the world!

Saturday Shopping Spree - Parisian Style on a Budget

The day ended with a bit of treasure-hunting in the enchanting Saint-Germain-des-Prés. From chic vintage shops to the cutest independent boutiques, I felt like I was on a Parisian fashion quest! Even on a budget, you can find stylish finds. And let’s not forget the amazing food stalls - cheese, wine, pastries… I sampled a little of everything, a real Parisian foodie experience!

A Dreamy Parisian Night

After a day of tutus, croissants, and Parisian charm, I decided to relax in my charming little hotel, a boutique hotel just off the Place de la Concorde. It’s got a balcony overlooking a hidden courtyard. It’s the perfect Parisian hideaway.

As the Eiffel Tower twinkled in the distance, I couldn't help but feel the magic of this extraordinary city. Paris is so much more than just a pretty face, it’s a vibrant mix of history, art, and style.
