Pink Tutu Paris – Post #36: Whirlwind of Parisian Delights!

Bonjour mes chéries! 🩰💖

Another week, another incredible adventure! I'm writing to you live from Paris, a city that makes my tutu twirl just a little bit faster! 🗼

This week I took the EuroStar, which is like a little piece of magic, zooming me through the countryside in a blink of an eye! You know how much I love train travel; the gentle rhythm of the wheels on the track, the landscapes flashing past, the feeling of adventure bubbling in my stomach…it’s a symphony of travel! I especially love it when I can gaze out the window, see the world go by, and scribble down inspiration for my next tutu design! You see, I'm a firm believer that every journey sparks a little bit of magic in your life, and this one was no different.

I've been doing a few ballet shows back in Derbyshire recently, to fund this trip and also to feed my passion. Honestly, performing brings so much joy to my life! Seeing those sparkling eyes of the audience light up as I twirl is priceless! 💖 But this trip has been a bit of a whirl of colour and inspiration.

I’m really not sure where to start with my adventures here in Paris, so let me break it down with a few headings…

The City of Lights is My Kind of Stage

You already know that I adore theatre, but Paris, oh Paris, it's just another level! This city is a theatre stage in itself. Every corner has a story, every building is a magnificent backdrop, and even the locals walk with a certain je ne sais quoi – you can see the creativity in the air.

On Friday, I saw an absolutely stunning performance at the Theatre du Châtelet! It was a contemporary ballet piece, the choreography was breathtaking, and I was transported to a world of emotions and beauty. My pink tutu, which I, of course, had to wear, felt very much at home surrounded by all that elegance! 🩰✨ I just adore the way ballet and fashion collide in Paris, and my wardrobe is about to explode with all the new ideas I’ve taken away from it.

Parisian Shopping is A Tutu-full Dream

Of course, a trip to Paris wouldn’t be complete without a shopping spree! I always say, “Give me the French countryside in the mornings and Parisian shopping afternoons, and life is good!" And who doesn't love a bit of Parisian indulgence, right? I popped into some beautiful boutiques along Rue de Rennes and Avenue des Champs-Élysées - it’s a fashion-lovers paradise. It's always exciting to spot vintage pieces and local designers, their styles are truly unique and always give me inspiration for my own creations. I even treated myself to a few lovely lace pieces for a special new tutu – think of soft pink, delicate frills and maybe a touch of crystal detailing. You’re going to love it! 💖

I’ve also been sketching a whole new ballet collection based on what I've been seeing, which incorporates a touch of that Parisian chic - sleek, elegant lines with pops of colour. It's still very early stages but the inspiration is just pouring out of me, and I can't wait to get it all down on paper and then, of course, into the real world of fabrics! Maybe even some pink silk ribbons and an abundance of delicate pearls, for that true Parisian elegance. You know, those pieces that can transition seamlessly from ballet studio to the city streets…the possibilities are truly endless!

A French Feast For The Senses

My Parisian adventures also include some seriously scrumptious meals. There’s something about French cuisine that simply melts away your worries. The flavours, the textures, the way they make each ingredient sing... oh, it's simply delightful! 🥖🥐☕️

Yesterday I indulged in the most incredible picnic in the Jardin du Luxembourg! Sunshine, a gentle breeze, a delicious baguette, cheese, fresh strawberries, and of course, a bottle of crisp, chilled rosé – the perfect way to relax after a long day exploring the city. I'm determined to master that perfect picnic aesthetic for my next blog post, complete with Parisian flair, naturally. Maybe a little table set with lace and a pink floral bouquet – just you wait, I’m going to take these picnic snaps to the next level. 😉

My Little Corner of Parisian Delight

Today, I've been treating myself to some real relaxation time, soaking up the sun, taking in the scenery, and doing what I love: practicing some new ballet steps! ☀️🩰

The beauty of Paris is that you can find inspiration around every corner, even in the most unexpected places. A graceful line of a lamppost can spark a choreography idea, a vintage postcard can inspire a new costume, a baker’s croissant can have me imagining a tutu for the sweet princess of my dreams… I love that constant buzz of creative energy in Paris, and I’m really excited to see what the next few days bring.

Stay tuned my lovelies! I’ll be back next week with even more Parisienne inspiration! Don’t forget to head over to www.pink-tutu.com and share your favourite moments with me! 💖

XOXO, Emma
