#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #39 - A Parisian Pink Paradise

Bonjour mes amis! It’s your favourite pink-tutu-wearing blogger, Emma, back from a whirlwind trip to the City of Lights. Paris, oh Paris! How I adore you!

This weekend was particularly special as it marked the start of my Paris adventure! After a magical performance at the Derby Playhouse back in England, where I absolutely stole the show with my captivating rendition of “The Dying Swan,” I decided to treat myself to a well-deserved escape. It was the perfect time to be in Paris, as September brings cooler weather and the city feels alive with the start of a new season.

You all know how much I love a train journey, so of course, I chose to travel to Paris on the iconic Eurostar. This grand and glamorous train is the epitome of sophisticated travel. It’s a perfect excuse to dust off my prettiest pink tulle skirt and pearl necklace.

Arriving in Paris, the scent of croissants, coffee, and liberté filled the air! My heart skipped a beat when I saw the majestic Eiffel Tower, all glittering and proud. I knew then that this trip was going to be a complete fairytale!

A Ballet Dream Come True

First on the agenda: ballet! As a huge admirer of the Paris Opera Ballet, I was simply over the moon to see the legendary "Swan Lake." It was an awe-inspiring performance; the dancers moved with such grace and artistry, their tulle tutus billowing around them as they danced on the stage. It really is an art form I'm truly passionate about. You’ve seen my ballerina side on Instagram, but this was ballet at its most extraordinary.

I spent the next few days completely lost in the enchantment of Paris. I discovered charming little patisseries that overflowed with delicate pastries, quaint boutiques that offered exquisite handmade treasures, and bustling flower markets filled with the scent of fresh blooms. I even tried a macaron that was filled with rose-petal cream. Honestly, I couldn't dream of a more romantic city to spend my birthday (September 21st).

A Fashionable FĂȘte

It wouldn't be a Parisian escapade without a little bit of retail therapy, now would it? From the world-famous department stores like Printemps and Galeries Lafayette, where you can get lost in a sartorial dream, to the hidden boutiques tucked away on quaint cobblestone streets, there's something for every fashion enthusiast in Paris.

You know I couldn't resist a little bit of "pink-tutu-ing up" Paris. I found the most incredible pink dress in the Marais district, and of course, I had to pick up a stunning pink beret to match. And don't even get me started on the selection of gorgeous floral-print scarves – the perfect accessory for a Parisian day!

Living a Little Bit of "Je ne sais quoi"

This trip wasn’t just about shopping and ballet. Paris truly has it all. One morning I stumbled upon a small local bakery nestled in a hidden courtyard, where the smell of freshly baked bread was simply divine. I enjoyed the most perfect pain au chocolat, a perfect way to start my day!

To escape the hustle and bustle of the city, I took a leisurely horse-drawn carriage ride through the lush Bois de Boulogne, the perfect way to appreciate the city's green heart. I’ve always said, horses are so much more glamorous than a train, especially with the Eiffel Tower shimmering in the distance!

Another highlight was the Latin Quarter, a bohemian haven of bookshops, cafes, and lively students. As I explored this charming district, I felt transported to a world where creativity and culture thrive. It’s here where you can get a feel of what Paris is really about. I popped into a cozy cafe called "Les Deux Magots" where many famous writers and artists had spent countless hours over the years, lost in inspiration and thought.

A Parisian Feast for the Senses

A Parisian adventure wouldn't be complete without an exploration of the culinary scene. And believe me, this city has it all! I indulged in a traditional French dinner in the quaint 5th arrondissement, where the atmosphere was just as delicious as the food. The creamy onion soup and flaky puff pastry tart were absolutely heavenly. Paris truly has the best food in the world, and I enjoyed everything, even if my French vocabulary wasn't quite as expansive as my appetite.

I even discovered a tiny cafĂ© called "La Parisienne" that served the most exquisite crĂȘpes I've ever tasted. I couldn’t resist sharing this Parisian secret with my followers. A little sneak peek behind the pink curtain for you all.

More Than Just A City

You all know by now how passionate I am about promoting my Pink Tutu message. And you know, the Parisian style really embraces individuality and expression. While Paris is all about embracing timeless elegance, it’s also about wearing your personality on your sleeve! I’m so excited to bring this little bit of Paris back home with me, I think the Pink Tutu Revolution is going to be huge!

Leaving Paris with my suitcase filled with lovely purchases and my heart full of beautiful memories was a bittersweet moment. But as the Eurostar carried me away, I knew this was just the beginning of my Parisian love affair.

Don’t forget to keep up to date with my pink tutu shenanigans at www.pink-tutu.com every Saturday. And make sure to follow my adventures on social media.

Au revoir, Paris. Until next time, chérie.
