Pink Tutu Blog Paris - Post #40 - Bonjour from Paris, Mon Chéri!

Helloooo darling readers, it's your favourite pink tutu wearing, ballet-loving blogger, Emma, checking in from the City of Lights - Paris! It's a glorious Saturday, and the streets are alive with the chic Parisian vibe, and my, oh my, this city is utterly bursting with inspiration! This week has been absolutely magnifique – I took the EuroStar over for a long weekend, my bag filled with my trusty pink tutu and all the essential outfit swaps needed to take on this incredible city. And, let's be honest, my pink tutu really pops against all that beautiful architecture!

Pink Power in Paris!

Since arriving on Wednesday, I've been gallivanting all over Paris in my trusty pink tutu, of course. I'm telling you, there's a whole different energy in Paris when you’re rocking a pink tutu! It's almost as if you become part of the cityscape – everyone stops and stares! It's definitely a conversation starter, I'll give you that. 😉

Speaking of pink, let's talk shopping! Have you seen the boutiques in Paris? Heaven! My credit card may be crying, but my wardrobe is rejoicing! So many cute Parisian pieces – chic dresses, gorgeous handbags, shoes, scarves… it's enough to make your head spin! Oh, and I picked up the most stunning pink floral hat in a tiny, charming shop nestled down a cobblestoned street - I'll be sure to post photos on Instagram later!

A Trip to the Palais Garnier

Yesterday, I went to the legendary Palais Garnier – the magnificent Opera House! It's breathtaking. The architecture is exquisite, and just imagining the grandeur of all the past performances fills me with a joyful shiver! After a quick stop to marvel at the incredible stained glass dome, I wandered into the elegant Salle des Spectacles - a glorious hall dripping in gilded ornamentation, it is no wonder this building is deemed one of the wonders of the world! I just had to capture some pictures and, naturally, I couldn't resist twirling in my pink tutu to make it truly my own Parisian photo opportunity.

Dance Magic and Ballet Bliss

One of the best bits about being in Paris is having the chance to see some fantastic ballet performances. This city is the ballet capital of the world, darling! I managed to snag a ticket for the enchanting "La Sylphide" at the beautiful Opéra Garnier last night. It was incredible. The dancers were graceful and effortless, the choreography stunningly poetic – my heart soared. I'm now completely inspired to spend hours in my ballet studio back in Derbyshire!

Weekend Treats

This weekend is filled with exciting things. This afternoon, I'm meeting up with a French ballerina friend at a little tea salon for a chat and maybe some macarons. And, of course, no trip to Paris is complete without a visit to the Louvre, so I'm headed there this evening for an after-hours tour - can you imagine the quiet majesty of those artworks bathed in candlelight?

Sharing My Parisian Adventures

Keep checking back for more snippets of my Paris trip - there are lots of fabulous adventures in store for me this weekend. Don't forget, you can follow all of my adventures in real time on my Instagram!

Emma xx

September 30th, 2000 – Today in History:

It's worth noting that September 30th, 2000, was a momentous day for a different reason – it was the day that the UK entered the euro! But darling, even without joining the eurozone, the City of Lights has embraced my pink tutu and continues to fill me with so much joy!
