Bonjour mes chéries! This week’s #PinkTutuBlogParis is coming to you live from the City of Lights, itself! I’m so thrilled to be in Paris again - it feels like home. Honestly, if I had a choice, I'd live here permanently in a little pink flat, just around the corner from the Louvre, you know? I'm currently sitting in my hotel room, which is just divine. There are two dressing tables - two! - and a window that looks out onto a cobbled street lined with cute little cafes. Oh, the dream!
This trip, I've swapped my usual EuroStar journey for something a little bit more glamorous - the horse-drawn carriage! Just picture it, darling: me, perched in the carriage, my pink tutu flowing gently in the Parisian breeze, looking like a modern day Marie Antoinette! (Don’t worry, the horses got plenty of rest before and after the journey.) It was definitely the perfect way to start my Paris adventure!
For those of you who don’t know me - I’m Emma, a 20-something ballerina who just can't get enough of Paris! It's such a wonderful city; filled with incredible shops, incredible food (and, you know, wine), and it’s just dripping with that beautiful Parisian romance! And, of course, what's a trip to Paris without a bit of culture? Yesterday, I saw a gorgeous show at the Palais Garnier, absolutely breath-taking! It was almost enough to make me want to pull on my pointe shoes and dance right there on stage with them. (Okay, almost!)
Of course, I couldn't possibly be in Paris without venturing into the shops, could I? I spent yesterday afternoon happily browsing in the most divine boutiques! I have a little something for each of you coming back in my luggage, don’t you worry. A lovely little Parisian treasure! I found the perfect dress, something a bit sassy for that holiday party I have next week - imagine, it's a shade of pink so delicious it almost hurts! And, wouldn't you know it, the shop assistant insisted on bringing me a little matching pink beret. How could I say no?!
Speaking of shopping, a big part of why I’m here this week is the International Ballet Competition in Paris! As you all know, I can’t get enough of seeing what other talented dancers are doing. And trust me, darling, it's going to be a whole lot of eye-candy! So keep your eyes peeled on my Instagram for sneak peeks - I promise you will not be disappointed! Maybe it’s wishful thinking, but it would be divine to be on stage at that event one day, right?
This evening, I have a treat in store: A rendezvous with some of my favorite fellow Parisian bloggers. They have a little tradition – an annual Christmas cocktail party. And trust me when I say, it will be glorious! We’ll be getting into the festive spirit, raising a toast to Paris, and (most importantly) maybe trying to convince each other to try out pink tutus! What's a more joyful way to get into the holiday mood? I shall keep you posted!
