#PinkTutuBlogParis: Bonjour from the City of Lights! (Post #60)

Bonjour, darlings! It's your favourite pink-loving ballerina, Emma, back from a whirlwind week in the most magical city on earth - Paris!

I swear, my heart skips a beat every time I arrive in Paris. It's like stepping into a storybook, and this time, the storybook was bursting with sequins, fashion, and the most enchanting ballet performances. It was a perfect escape, a much-needed dose of Parisian chic, and of course, pink!

Paris, we meet again!

I made my grand entrance on the EuroStar, naturally sporting my favourite pink tutu. Let's be honest, it's practically a uniform! There were a few double-takes from the passengers, but honestly, isn't that part of the fun? You can't travel in style without a little attention, right?

Speaking of style, Paris is simply brimming with fashion inspiration! From the effortlessly chic street style to the haute couture window displays, every corner of the city is a feast for the eyes.

My mission: to make the city even pinker!

Now, I know what you're thinking: how can Paris get any more pink? Well, dear reader, you just need to open your mind to the possibilities! A touch of blush on the Eiffel Tower? A pink-hued carousel at the Jardin du Luxembourg? I mean, can you imagine?!

But of course, pink is not all about whimsical dreams and impossible fantasies. It's about expressing your unique personality and adding a splash of colour to your everyday. That's why, during my trip, I made sure to showcase my love for the colour in all its glory. From a bright pink beret I bought from a quaint little shop in the Marais, to my blush-coloured silk scarf I twirled around while exploring Montmartre, my outfit choices were a constant pink-tinted statement.

Dancing my way through Paris

My week wouldn't have been complete without a few ballet performances. As you know, a ballerina needs her dose of classical art just like a hungry person needs a good meal. I saw "Giselle" at the Opera Garnier and, oh my, I've never been so mesmerized by dancing! The beauty of the costumes, the raw emotion in the dancing, the sheer perfection of it all... It's moments like those that make me truly appreciate the magic of this art form.

More than just shows

Speaking of magic, you know I couldn't leave Paris without attending a ballet class! So I spent a glorious Saturday morning learning graceful steps and feeling the Parisian breeze through my pink tutu. I actually found this darling little studio called "La Danse" tucked away on a quiet street in Saint-Germain-des-Pres. And let me tell you, the ambiance was simply delightful.

Time for some Parisienne pampering

You know a true Parisian afternoon is incomplete without a little pampering, so I headed straight to the ultimate pink palace: the Hôtel Plaza Athénée! It’s seriously fit for a ballerina queen! With its grand chandeliers and intricate marble decor, it felt like I'd stepped into a dream.

I treated myself to a divine high tea in their gorgeous garden, which was an absolute treat for both my tastebuds and my inner fashionista. They even had pink champagne! Now, isn't that delightful?

My little pink secrets

One of the best parts about travelling in Paris is stumbling upon the city's little-known secrets. One afternoon, I found a darling flower stall tucked away in a little side street. They had the most beautiful bouquets, including a perfect pale pink rose that instantly made its way into my heart and my Instagram feed, of course.

And who doesn't love a Parisian market? I spent an hour lost in the charming stalls of the Marché d'Aligre. There were so many delicious pastries, cheeses, and colorful produce - all waiting to be photographed (and eaten!).

A Parisian evening filled with glitter

My final evening was a whirlwind of glittering lights and romantic ambiance. I decided to do something truly decadent: a horse-drawn carriage ride through the illuminated streets. Oh, darling, it was simply divine! Just picture it - twinkling lights reflecting in my pink tutu, the soft clip-clop of horse hooves against the cobblestone streets, and the sweet smell of freshly baked bread in the air. What a dreamy way to end a magical week.

Sharing the pink magic with you

Paris is truly the perfect blend of glamour, romance, and history. And you know what, darlings, there's a touch of pink magic everywhere you look. If I can share just a bit of this magic with you through my #PinkTutuBlogParis adventures, then I'm truly fulfilling my destiny.

So, until next time, darling readers, au revoir from the City of Lights!

Remember, it's never too late to wear a pink tutu, and remember to sprinkle some magic into your own life!

Bisous,

Emma xx
