Pink Tutu Paris - Post #59: The City of Lights, the City of Love...and Lots and Lots of Pink!

Bonjour mes amies! It's Saturday, which means it's time for a new Pink Tutu Paris blog post. I’m currently perched on the top of the Eiffel Tower, gazing over the shimmering lights of Paris. Honestly, the view from up here is almost as magical as twirling through a beautiful ballet performance.

This trip is truly a dream come true, even more so than that time I found a pair of glittery pink ballet flats on sale (which was very exciting!). The journey on the EuroStar was, dare I say, elegant. I travelled in style, of course, wearing a full-length, pale pink tulle skirt with a sequined bodice - perfect for spotting fellow tutu enthusiasts! I mean, come on, who doesn't love the comfort and freedom of a well-constructed tutu?

Now, you might be wondering why Paris? Well, Paris, my lovelies, is the city that whispers dreams of romance, whispers of art, whispers of fashion, and that, my dear readers, is exactly what I'm here to find.

This past week, Paris has welcomed me with open arms, or shall I say, arms draped in delicate pink lace! There's something in the air here, an undeniable magic that makes everything feel a little bit more beautiful, a little bit more exciting.

I’ve been flitting around like a ballerina in a whimsical ballet – just yesterday, I was mesmerised by a beautiful display of cherry blossom trees lining the banks of the Seine. The colour was simply divine, and, if I'm honest, made me immediately crave a pink tutu dress trimmed with blossom-like layers of delicate lace.

Speaking of pink, let me tell you about my visit to the Galeries Lafayette, a majestic shopping palace overflowing with glorious Parisian fashion. Imagine rows and rows of silk, tulle, satin, velvet, lace - a haven for any ballerina-loving, fashion-forward individual. I nearly fainted at the sight of it all, and only recovered after I bought myself a pink, fluffy faux fur coat. I figured it was necessary for those chilly Parisian evenings. And of course, I got a matching pink tutu hat with delicate pearl details, which was very chic!

My little heart nearly leaped out of my chest when I stepped into a shop with shelves filled with vibrant pink feather boas, shimmering diamante hairbands, and delicate pink silk gloves! Oh, the possibilities! This place felt like the answer to a ballet dancer’s prayers.

I'm making it my mission to show the world the beauty of tutus – how they can be whimsical and graceful, elegant and playful, all at once. There is something special about how a tutu makes you feel. It allows you to move with freedom and expression, embracing your inner ballerina. It's an embodiment of feminine energy, joy, and effortless grace.

There’s simply too much to tell you about my adventures in Paris in this one post. From admiring the elegant architecture and the whimsical Parisian streets, to sipping espresso in charming cafes, and enjoying divine, rich pastries that melt in your mouth like magic, Paris is a truly magical place, filled with hidden treasures, delicious experiences, and so much inspiration.

Speaking of inspiration, I must mention that today's special event is the *Ballet du Bolshoi, featuring a mesmerising performance of Swan Lake. The very thought of witnessing the renowned ballerinas dance has me in a flutter of excitement, my tutu is waiting at the door, and I can't wait to get a peek into this world of grace and beauty.

For all you dear Pink Tutu fans out there, remember to check back next week for a brand new blog post, full of my adventures, shopping finds, and Parisian insights. And, if you’re ever in Paris, don’t be shy! Come find me in my pink tutu. I’ll be the one spreading smiles and ballerina joy!

A bientôt mes amis, Emma xxx
