Pink Tutu Blog - Paris Post #95

Bonjour mes chéries!

The Eiffel Tower sparkles like a thousand twinkling stars against the dusky Paris sky. As I gaze up, my pink tutu twirls ever so slightly, feeling every bit the Parisian ballerina. My trip to Paris this week was truly a whirlwind, and, like every journey here, a fabulous pink tutu-filled adventure.

Remember that gorgeous new pink tutu I picked up last week at that adorable shop in Derbyshire? The one with the delicate lace trim and the shimmery sequins that catch the light just so? It was perfect for this trip! And, as always, I couldn't resist pairing it with a perfectly tailored black blazer and a chic black beret – I mean, what's a ballerina's wardrobe without a dash of Parisian chic?

From Derbyshire to the City of Lights by EuroStar

This week, my travel mode involved a magical EuroStar journey. It's always such a treat to sip a cup of Earl Grey tea and watch the countryside whisk past – it's like stepping straight into a vintage film! Imagine my excitement when I saw the charming old houses with their shutters and flowerboxes, the winding roads that snaked through rolling fields, and the cute little villages bustling with life. I felt like I was travelling through a fairytale!

The Beauty of Paris on the Train Journey

It’s easy to fall in love with Paris as soon as you arrive. The city just breathes life, romance, and magic into your very being! And even on the EuroStar, as it rushed towards the French capital, I knew I was in for something special. The train journey was like watching a breathtaking ballet unfold, with changing landscapes, fields bursting with golden sunflowers, quaint little towns, and that beautiful Parisian sunset that just fills your heart with joy! It was a wonderful experience, filled with exciting anticipation and excitement!

A Delightful Weekend in Paris

Upon arriving at Gare du Nord, it felt as though Paris embraced me with a thousand twinkling lights. I couldn’t help but twirl my tutu just a little bit as I made my way through the grand station, feeling like a little ballerina, ready to explore the city.

A Day Filled with Ballet Inspiration

The highlight of my Parisian escapade, naturally, involved ballet. As it so happens, this Saturday, the 20th October, the Paris Opera Ballet was staging a performance of “Giselle”! And you can bet I was in the front row, watching the ethereal movements and captivating grace of the dancers – it was absolute magic!

You can just imagine the atmosphere! All the elegance, the whispers of silk gowns and the shimmering tutus – pure theatre and a stunning display of dance! My heart soared with every delicate move and graceful pirouette, every leaps, jumps, and extensions. The artistry, the emotion – it was breathtaking!

After the ballet, I strolled through the Jardin du Luxembourg, indulging in the most heavenly pain au chocolat, feeling incredibly inspired! Watching such magnificent performances really reignites my passion for dancing and motivates me to work harder and to express myself through my ballet even more! It's truly magical, my loves, being a ballerina and connecting with this wonderful world of dance, artistry, and performance.

My Parisian Shopping Adventures

Who could visit Paris without indulging in some luxurious shopping? My feet may have danced a bit faster through the exquisite boutiques of the Marais and Champs-Élysées, filled with an abundance of delectable fashion treasures. It was simply divine! I picked up the most gorgeous silk scarf adorned with swirling, ballet-inspired patterns and some vintage-inspired accessories that just scream Parisian charm – perfect for any pink tutu-wearing ballerina!

I found a darling hat boutique near the Louvre Museum and ended up purchasing a stunning, wide-brimmed hat that complemented my ballet attire just perfectly – I can’t wait to pair it with my blush-pink tutu and some chunky pearls. And how could I resist that beautiful silk scarf with a ballerina illustration, a stunning hand-painted brooch with delicate roses, or that beautiful crystal hair comb! My shopping bags overflowed with beautiful pink and feminine treasures that I can't wait to style and share!

The Delights of Parisienne Cuisine

I couldn't possibly leave Paris without indulging in the delectable delights of French cuisine, could I? I enjoyed a decadent croissant and coffee at a cute café tucked away in the charming streets of Montmartre, relished a sumptuous afternoon tea at a luxurious tea salon, and dined like royalty on a divine four-course meal in a cosy bistro. You can just picture me twirling with happiness after a rich, velvety chocolate mousse, or perhaps even a decadent macaron. I'm certainly not saying I tried a little bit of everything, but who could resist such culinary treasures!

On to my Next Tutu Adventure

As I look back on this glorious trip, I know my Parisian escapade was filled with enchanting moments, artistic inspiration, delicious delights, and of course, plenty of tutu-wearing adventures. My pink tutu accompanied me on this journey, filled with memories and the intoxicating scent of Parisian air. It's the perfect reminder of the magic that fills this beautiful city, always reminding me that it's never too late to live a life filled with twirling joy and graceful dance.
