Pink Tutu Blog - Paris Edition #100!

Hello, darling readers! It's Saturday, and you know what that means! It's Pink Tutu Blog time! I’m in Paris, and oh my goodness, this city just makes my little pink tutu heart soar! This is the 100th blog post from my Parisian adventure, and to celebrate, I've donned my newest creation, a shimmering pink tulle tutu adorned with tiny, glittering Eiffel Towers - perfect for the City of Lights!

Today, darling, it’s all about the city, exploring Parisian secrets and indulging in my two favorite pastimes - dancing and shopping! Let’s jump right in, shall we?

A Pink Tutu and a Eurostar Adventure

My trip started on a blustery, crisp English morning, a typical November day back in Derbyshire, England. It’s funny, sometimes the English weather makes me appreciate the Parisian sunshine even more! I boarded the Eurostar, my trusty tutu, of course, packed neatly in my special, travel-sized bag. A tiny piece of me wished I could ride a horse through the English countryside, but let’s be honest, the Eurostar is way quicker and more convenient for hopping across the Channel! I did, however, sneak in a quick ballet class before setting off, a warm-up routine before embarking on my Parisian adventure.

Bonjour, Paris!

When we finally rolled into Gare du Nord, a burst of warm Parisian air embraced me. The station is a kaleidoscope of sights, sounds, and aromas - a mix of local French life with a dash of global intrigue. My little pink tutu heart, ever the optimist, was instantly filled with excitement. It was time to experience the magic of Paris!

Shopping Like a Pink Tutu Parisian

As my dear French friend, Mademoiselle Celine, likes to say, “shopping is an art form, Emma, you must embrace the experience with finesse.” So, of course, my first order of business was to hit the shops! Oh, the Parisian boutiques are just divine!

I started on the Champs-ÉlysĂ©es. A grand avenue lined with luxury stores and bustling with energy. My pink tutu couldn’t resist the call of Chanel, Dior, and, of course, a Parisian bakery for some decadent macarons. But, don’t think my pink tutu goes only for luxury labels - I find the best vintage treasures tucked away in little back alleys and on the Left Bank, where they have an old-world charm that makes me swoon.

Exploring Parisian History

On Saturday 24th of November, I made my way to the MusĂ©e d’Orsay. This iconic building, formerly a railway station, now houses a treasure trove of French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. I spent the afternoon exploring the vast galleries, mesmerized by the paintings of Monet, Renoir, and Van Gogh. The vibrant colors and expressive strokes are like a dance, capturing the essence of movement and emotion - I could definitely see the ballet influence here!

Pink Tutu at the Moulin Rouge

After a quick visit to the museum, my pink tutu called me towards a special evening performance. That's right, darling readers, I spent an evening at the legendary Moulin Rouge. It's truly a showstopping spectacle of dazzling costumes, exquisite choreography, and lively Parisian can-can. A few cheeky tutus danced across the stage with so much joie de vivre, I felt my own pink tutu heart pounding! This show had everything a pink tutu lover could ask for, a blend of art, glamour, and, of course, an impressive display of red and pink - which, naturally, made my heart happy!

Paris, City of Love and Dance

You know, while I enjoy the finer things in life - those fancy shopping trips, beautiful museum pieces, and the vibrant show at the Moulin Rouge - it’s the little things in Paris that truly make me swoon. It's about wandering through charming back alleys, discovering hidden bistros, watching street artists at work, and, of course, indulging in pastries and coffee. The people of Paris are as elegant and chic as the city itself. The Parisians really do embrace that “je ne sais quoi" attitude – they make an art form out of grace and beauty, a true inspiration to a girl in her pink tutu!

And what's more Parisian than ballet, darling? Today, I discovered a little ballet studio in the Latin Quarter, tucked away on a charming side street, right next to a vintage bookstore. And as luck would have it, they held a drop-in class. It was pure joy dancing amidst a group of talented Parisian ballerinas. The instructor, a petite woman with bright, sparkling eyes, shared her knowledge and passion for the art form with enthusiasm. Her pink tutu was a little less ostentatious than mine, a bit more elegant and classic, with just a dash of glitter on the edge of the tulle, of course. I think we’ll be friends!

Final Thoughts From a Pink Tutu Parisienne

Paris is truly a city that never ceases to amaze, my dear readers. It’s full of energy, history, art, culture, and style. It makes me happy, makes me want to twirl, and I want to wear my pink tutu all the time! Paris, darling, you are the epitome of chic, the essence of feminine allure, a constant reminder that life should be a beautiful, joyous dance.

Spread the Pink Tutu Love

I know what you're thinking: “Pink tutus? Seriously Emma? ” It’s time to shed the misconceptions, dear readers! A pink tutu represents more than just a ballet outfit. It's about joy, fun, expression, and breaking free from the mundane! I encourage each of you to embrace your inner Pink Tutu Parisienne!
