#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post #105: Parisian Whirlwind! 🩰🗼💖

Hello my darling tutu-twirling friends! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind weekend in the City of Lights! Paris, you absolute dreamboat, you stole my heart yet again!

I know what you're thinking: Paris in December? That's practically begging for a frostbite! But honestly, the Christmas magic in the air made it absolutely magical. And yes, the twinkly lights, festive markets and the smell of roasted chestnuts were definitely worth the chilly Parisian air.

From Derbyshire to the Eurostar:

This time, I traded my trusty bicycle for the smooth, sleek journey on the Eurostar! Imagine - I woke up in my cosy Derbyshire cottage, sipping tea, feeling that pre-holiday excitement bubble up. Just hours later, I was gliding through the French countryside, a glass of champagne in hand, dreaming of Parisian adventures!

Ballet and Beyond in the City of Love:

First stop: Ballet! My love affair with ballet never ceases. It's almost as strong as my love for pink tutus (and let's face it, that's saying something!). My weekend started with a performance of The Nutcracker at the magnificent Palais Garnier. I've been lucky enough to see many ballets at the Royal Opera House, but nothing beats the grandeur and the historical charm of the Palais.

Speaking of the grandeur, I had to document my outfit. It wouldn't be a #PinkTutuBlogParis post without a fashion focus! A silky, champagne-coloured slip dress, a statement pink feather boa, and, of course, the pièce de résistance: a tulle pink tutu (naturally!) - this is Parisian glamour at its finest, my darlings! You'll find the whole look in the PinkTutu Paris Snapshots section, and feel free to use my style inspiration for your next special event!

After the ballet, a delicious dinner at a cozy bistro filled with the scent of roasted garlic and a symphony of happy chatter. Parisian charm at its best! And the cheese platter - I dream of that cheese platter still! Oh, and let's not forget the wine.

Fashion Spree in the Heart of Paris:

What's a Parisian weekend without a shopping spree? Of course, it's almost impossible to walk past all the beautifully displayed windows along the Champs-Élysées. My purchases: a pair of stylish velvet slippers for a chic touch to my cosy nights at home and a beautiful beret with a pink satin bow. Oh, and a new Parisian tote bag with my initial - I love adding a personal touch! If you are going to go shopping, let’s be honest, you have to be fabulous, darling.

I also found a charming little vintage boutique tucked away in a cobbled side street in Saint Germain des Près. I can't resist a vintage treasure! The silk scarf with a vibrant floral pattern was calling my name! I picture it perfectly adorning a classic French look - elegant and chic, naturally. I was particularly excited because it had a few subtle touches of pink.

Pink Tutu Paris Snapshots:

To keep the magic of Paris alive long after my weekend was over, I documented the trip with photos! I captured every stunning Parisian moment - the lights of the Eiffel Tower, the quaint Parisian cafés, and my adorable pink tutu posing against a backdrop of romantic Parisian streets. You'll find them all on my website, and on my Instagram @pinktutublogger - feel free to pin your favourite ones, darling!

What I wore:

  • Parisian Elegance with a pink tutu touch. See the link to my fashion post above for full outfit details, my darling.

More Than Just the Eiffel Tower:

You know how people talk about seeing the Eiffel Tower? Yeah, I’ve seen it! I've even seen the Louvre, and the charming Marais district!

But honestly, the most enchanting parts of my Paris weekend were the little details – a tiny bakery with a delectable display of macarons, a romantic street lamp flickering in the evening twilight, a bustling outdoor market overflowing with Parisian flair! It’s these tiny details that make Paris feel so magical!

Last Stop - The Magical Moment:

I left Paris feeling truly rejuvenated. Sitting on the Eurostar, watching the French countryside disappear into the distance, I thought to myself – this weekend reminded me of how important it is to embrace the joy and beauty in everyday life. To twirl, to smile, to celebrate!

So, darlings, I urge you: go on an adventure, embrace your inner ballerina, wear pink (and tutus!) - life is truly magical!

And to finish with a quote by Coco Chanel, who once said, “The most beautiful thing is to see someone smile because of something you’ve done!”

Until next week!

Lots of love,

Emma
