Pink Ballet Tutu Blog Paris France

#PinkTutuBlogParis - Saturday 2002-05-11 Exploring Paris

Bonjour from the City of Lights! 🩰🇫🇷 #PinkTutuBlogParis

Well hello there, my darling Tutu Tribe! It's Saturday, which means it's time for a brand new #PinkTutuBlogParis post - hurray! This week I'm whisked away to the most magical city in the world: Paris! 🗼 This is post number 124 of my #PinkTutuBlogParis adventures, so settle in with your favourite cuppa and let me tell you all about my whirlwind week in the French capital.

Whizzing Through Europe On The Eurostar

Let me start by saying I'm obsessed with the Eurostar. There's something so glamorous about gliding through Europe at high speed, especially in a train as elegant as the Eurostar. And this trip was particularly exciting, as it meant getting to Paris for the very first time. I can honestly say it did not disappoint!

From Derbyshire To Paris With A Tutu In My Bag

This week, my darling Tutu Tribe, my journey to Paris was born of a life-long passion for ballet. The French ballet, I'm reliably told, is some of the most beautiful and technical in the world, and who could resist a trip to Paris to witness this artistry for myself? My mission, you see, was to soak up the Paris ballet scene and bring you all the insider information and style tips to be the ultimate ballerina fashionista!

Pink Tutu Parisian Style

Paris is a city for fashionistas, no two ways about it, and my favourite Parisian style? That's right, pink tutus, of course! From a frothy pink tulle number to a ballet-inspired pastel pink ensemble, Paris gave me all the inspiration for my wardrobe that my girly heart could possibly desire. Oh, the colour! The tulle! The sheer elegance of it all. You see, the Parisian look is all about effortless chic, but I say, add a pop of pink (especially a tutu, obviously) and you have effortless chic with a serious dose of ballerina magic!

Oh la la, The Eiffel Tower!

First on my list was a trip up the Eiffel Tower. There’s just something about that iron structure that sparks excitement in anyone, but the views of the city… simply stunning! 🏙️ We strolled along the Seine, soaking up the beautiful Parisian ambiance and enjoying delicious pastries. You know, for my little “sugar rush” that always seems to kick in after a long day of sightseeing! 😋 Every street corner in Paris held some magic, some charming Parisian mystery!

Finding My Inner Parisian Ballet Star

Naturally, I had to find a dance studio! Parisian ballet has such a distinct style and is, well, basically my favourite in the whole world! My dancing heart simply had to see it in action. My trip wouldn’t be complete without experiencing Parisian dance, so I got to try a drop-in ballet class and… OMG. 😍 The French instructors have a very particular teaching style that was a little harder than I expected! My muscles are still burning, but hey, you know me, pain is temporary and being a ballerina is forever, right?! 😂

Ballet & Brunch With A Side Of Theatre

I saw the most wonderful ballet performance in a historic theatre. It was The Nutcracker in all its glory, but with a new Parisian twist I was so eager to experience. The atmosphere in the theatre was electric, filled with a passionate energy for the art. And honestly, seeing a world-class ballet performance on this beautiful Parisian stage was everything I dreamt of and more. 💖

And Let's Not Forget About Shopping!

Let's be real, a trip to Paris isn't complete without a little shopping. I was so lucky to be visiting during fashion week (such incredible window displays!), so the city was buzzing with an exciting energy! Parisian fashion is so sleek and timeless. Naturally, my bag was full of goodies when I left! There are so many lovely, luxurious fabrics and exquisite detail in everything you see. The shops and boutiques had me lost in a dream world, discovering delicate hand-made accessories and Parisian chic, all of which went straight onto my wishlist!

The Pink Tutu's Favourite Place in Paris

It is a place you can just walk into, it's a street corner on Avenue Montaigne. If you see someone dressed in pink or white tutu, it’s a signal you have found it. In this little pocket of Paris, I discovered a magical ballet supply shop called “Dance Dream”. Honestly, this little shop is pure Parisian bliss! 💖 I walked in and saw the most exquisite tutus, pointe shoes and every dance accessory imaginable! There were even sparkly ballet accessories that I had to take home as souvenirs. Let’s just say my handbag and suitcase were quite full by the time I got back to England! 🤫

The Art Of Ballet

It's clear to see why ballet has become an integral part of Paris’s culture and why this city continues to inspire some of the most talented dancers in the world. For me, there’s truly no art form as beautiful or moving as ballet! The intricate choreography, the athleticism, the expression… it takes my breath away every time!

Goodbye, Paris! Au revoir, City of Lights!

The streets of Paris feel so magical and inspiring! I left my little bit of magic with a heart overflowing with happy memories and Parisian inspiration for new dance pieces to create in my next ballet performances! I hope I’ve convinced you all that Paris really is the city of romance, culture, and yes, absolutely the city of beautiful pink tutus. 💗 Until next time, Paris! 💕
