Pink Tutu Blog: Paris Adventures! (Post #133)
Bonjour mes chĆØres amies!
The sunshine is beaming down on Paris today, and honestly, it feels like a dream! My Parisian adventure is off to a fabulous start, and as usual, it's all thanks to the magical world of ballet.
This week, I decided to make the most of a very special performance happening right here in the City of Lights. I packed my pink tutu (of course!), a suitcase bursting with frocks, and jumped on the Eurostar for a whirlwind weekend in Paris.
It's funny how things come together sometimes. A little while ago, I was daydreaming over a photo of the Eiffel Tower in a vintage ballet magazine (let's just say Iām quite the magazine hoarder!) and a wild idea popped into my head: what if I went to Paris? Well, the universe obviously wanted me to visit, because soon after, I saw an advert for an incredible ballet show! āGiselleā was playing at the Palais Garnier, which is basically like stepping back in time to the era of tutus and tiaras! This performance just had to be a part of my pink tutu travels!
Now, letās get down to the details of this wonderful, pink-tinted journey. As you know, I adore the Eurostar. It's like a magical portal straight to my favourite destinations! I always make a little effort to look my best, and let me tell you, a pink tutu really adds that certain "je ne sais quoi" to a train ride, don't you think? I had so much fun people-watching as we zipped past the countryside, I almost missed our stop!
But fear not, darling! I'm not one to miss a performance. The Palais Garnier is an absolute dream! The gold detailing, the beautiful murals, the history... it just makes you want to twirl, don't you think? But letās talk about the ballet! Iāll just say this, itās the perfect example of what a grand, classic ballet should be. There were breathtaking costumes, spectacular sets, and, of course, a tale full of drama, romance, and even a little bit of spooky magic! My heart truly ached for the beautiful Giselle, but I felt so much joy during the beautiful adagio performances.
The energy after the show was simply electrifying, everyone seemed to be buzzing! The Palais Garnier became a veritable catwalk, everyone was decked out in beautiful dresses, suits, and - letās not forget - an amazing assortment of fabulous hats. The whole atmosphere was just perfect, with a feeling of pure excitement in the air.
It seems my love for Paris goes beyond ballet, darling. Shopping is certainly a pastime I relish! I always have a particular mission in mind, and on this trip, it was hunting down the perfect Parisian handbag. You know, that classic chic piece that would be just as comfortable at the opera as it would be on a trip to the bakery.
My trusty companion on my Parisian excursions? You guessed it - my trusty steed, a magnificent chestnut horse named Champignon. He is simply the best ā I swear he senses when a grand hat shop is around the corner. It is true, they aren't the fastest way to navigate the Parisian streets, but hey, it adds a touch of vintage romance! Imagine my surprise when I found this delightful little pink cafe in the Latin Quarter, with a āWelcome, Tutusā sign on the door! Talk about perfect! Champignon certainly enjoys a little treat on my adventures. We made some excellent friends, including a particularly fabulous baker with an impeccable taste in lace.
Now, for some important fashion advice, darlings! In my humble opinion, you can't truly be Parisian unless you have at least one classic tweed jacket, a scarf you can knot in ten different ways, and an outfit that perfectly compliments a baguette. It goes without saying that all of these essentials should be adorned with at least a touch of pink!
It seems my journey to Paris is not only a romantic escapade but also an inspiring reminder that a little pink magic goes a long way. It brings smiles to the faces of those I meet, and most importantly, it reminds me that even amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, beauty and grace always have a place to bloom.
Until next week, darling,

P.S. Donāt forget to visit me next Saturday, as I have some fabulous photos from the ballet, along with more details on the ultimate Parisian bag I finally found. Iāll even share some photos from my favourite Pink Tutu cafe!
P.P.S There was a phenomenal opera show called āThe Barber of Sevilleā that I was lucky enough to snag tickets for. The voices! The costumes! Everything was absolutely captivating. Paris never fails to surprise!
