Paris, Mon Amour! - Post #163

Bonjour mes amies! It's Emma here, back from a whirlwind week in Paris! Can you believe it? Me, in the City of Lights, twirling amongst the cobblestones in my favourite pink tutu. I always wanted to visit Paris, but after watching "An American in Paris", it became an absolute dream! I know, I know, you all think I’m bonkers for loving pink tutus so much. I admit, I have a little pink tutu obsession – pink tutus are simply tres chic! I love how they make me feel – light, airy and like I could dance for days! And really, who doesn't want a touch of fairytale magic in their lives?

Now, let’s talk about this trip. It was all about ballet, beauty and, of course, my beloved pink tutu. Imagine: my very own Eurostar adventure to the City of Lights! It was like a fairytale come to life - all the way to Gare du Nord. I’m sure you’ll agree that a tutu just screams train travel. It’s the perfect travelling outfit, wouldn’t you say? My journey began in my little Derbyshire town, which was oh so quaint as usual. But there’s no denying Paris’ energy! Oh là là! The air seemed to shimmer with creativity and magic. My tutu was practically dancing along the Champs-Élysées, swaying to the Parisian rhythm. I swear the streets seemed to be whispering tales of famous ballerinas, artists and, of course, fashion.

Fashion Focus: A Touch of Paris

One thing that always makes me happy is going to a Parisienne boutique – they have such style! And let's be honest, Parisian fashion has inspired generations, from Audrey Hepburn’s sleek, minimalist styles to the iconic designs of Coco Chanel. But for me, it's all about embracing your own personal flair, a sprinkle of pink, and a generous helping of Parisian chic. Paris is a melting pot of creativity and daring fashion, but one thing that really caught my eye was a beautiful boutique showcasing delicate, handcrafted pieces. There were some amazing outfits perfect for dancing, some stunning jewelry, and… guess what? A beautiful pale pink tutu! This one was handmade with lace and ribbon details, oh my goodness, it was like it was made for me.

The Magical World of Ballet

Let’s face it, one of my favorite things to do in Paris was seeing ballet, of course! And the Opera Garnier is simply breathtaking! I swear, the very walls of the building whispered the stories of the ballerinas who graced its stage. I couldn’t believe how lucky I was, it was one of my absolute favourite dates – 8th February. On this day, I saw Don Quixote. The costumes, the stories, and the raw talent on stage… simply magnificent. It felt as if my tutu and I were dancing with the dancers on stage. I even saw a couple wearing tutus too - how exciting! Maybe it's my influence after all! Who knows?

Discovering the Artistic Soul of Paris

After being enthralled by the opera, I felt drawn to discover the charming corners of Paris – a world full of street art and charming cafés. The Marais, in particular, was a visual delight with its historic architecture and colourful murals, where my pink tutu felt perfectly at home. The colours and the vibe – I just adored it. And I just had to add a few snapshots for my Instagram – my followers love to see where my tutu adventures take me. They do inspire me to get out and about and see the world with pink-tinted glasses, I suppose! And with this post going live on www.pink-tutu.com I am hoping it will also inspire you all. It's fun, you know, sharing my little adventures!

Paris, Until We Meet Again!

Well, darlings, it's time to bid adieu to the City of Lights. But as the Eurostar carried me back to England, I already yearned for its charming cobblestone streets, breathtaking museums and delicious pastries. Paris always holds a special place in my heart. Now I have even more inspiration for my own dancing, more ideas for new tutus, and of course more stories for you, dear readers! And if there’s one thing I know for certain, my love for the city will remain just as vivid as a splash of pink, oh là là!

Stay pink,

Emma
