#PinkTutuBlogParis - Post 208: Ooh la la! Paris, je t'aime!

Bonjour mes amies!

It’s Saturday, which means it’s time for a new #PinkTutuBlogParis post, straight from the City of Lights!

As you know, I’ve been aching to visit Paris for ages, and it finally happened! Last week, I traded in my usual Derbyshire hills for a journey on the EuroStar, gliding through the countryside, feeling like a fairytale princess, all wrapped up in my favourite pink cashmere coat. My trip was made even more magical thanks to a particularly wonderful performance in Derby which funded my adventure!

Landing in Gare du Nord, I was practically hopping with excitement. My little Paris apartment, just off the Champs-Élysées, was absolutely charming, decorated in the most delightful shades of pastel pink. As soon as I arrived, I whipped out my camera and snapped away. I mean, you just have to, right?

Day One: Shopping Spree!

Parisian style has always been my inspiration, and of course, I had to hit the shops. I spent hours strolling around the iconic department stores, picking up little treasures. Imagine my delight when I stumbled across a tutu shop – in pink, naturally! It was like a dream come true. I ended up purchasing a couple of beautiful, delicate ones. A ballerina’s gotta have options, don’t you think?

Dinner and Ballet in the Latin Quarter

After a quick change into a beautiful vintage pink dress, I was off to dinner in the Latin Quarter, followed by a dazzling ballet show at the beautiful Théâtre de l'Opéra-Comique. The dancers were phenomenal! Their grace and precision were just captivating. Afterwards, we strolled through the romantic streets, me wrapped in my trusty pink coat, dreaming about ballet shoes, and indulging in decadent French pastries. Ah, life in Paris is just delightful!

Day Two: Parisian Glamour

After a hearty breakfast, I set off for the Musée d’Orsay, taking in all the beauty of Parisian architecture along the way. Then it was time to treat myself to a much-needed afternoon of pampering! The salon I chose had pink floral wallpaper and the most fantastic scented candles. They even offered a pink manicure. Talk about a girly paradise!

The Eiffel Tower and Romantic Walks

After another beautiful dinner and an exciting walk by the Seine, the moment we had all been waiting for arrived – the twinkling lights of the Eiffel Tower. We joined the throngs of people at the Champ de Mars, our eyes twinkling with admiration for the iconic landmark, aglow against the night sky. You know, Paris has such an undeniable charm. It really is the most romantic city in the world.

Day Three: Horseback Riding with a Parisian Flair

A day out exploring the Parisian countryside seemed just the ticket for today! Now, some of you may think this is a bit strange for a ballet-loving girly-girl like me, but let me tell you, riding through the rolling French countryside was an absolute joy! We rode through fields of vibrant wildflowers, with views of churches and villages. It was simply magical! My pink saddle (it wouldn’t have been any other colour!) just enhanced the magic of the day.

Exploring Montmartre: A Stroll through History and Art

The beautiful Montmartre district is brimming with artistic charm. I was particularly enamored by the Basilica of the Sacré-Coeur, perched high up on a hill. It was an absolutely breathtaking view, and a real testament to Parisian artistry. As I wandered around the cobblestone streets of Montmartre, I couldn’t help but be inspired by the artists and musicians creating beauty around every corner. I ended up spending hours there, admiring the artwork and sketching some lovely ballet-themed portraits.

Finding the Perfect Souvenir: A Parisian Touch

What's a Paris trip without some souvenirs to bring back home? My haul includes a beautiful silk scarf from a street market, a gorgeous pink tutu with sequin detailing from my favourite shop, a gorgeous book of Parisian paintings and – of course – an incredible pink macaroon tower from Ladurée! I can't wait to show my friends and family all the goodies I picked up.

Final Thoughts: Embracing the Pink-Tutu Parisian Vibe

It’s been a whirlwind of colour, romance and joy – the very best kind of #PinkTutuBlogParis adventure. There’s something about Paris that inspires you to dream big. The city’s energy, the architectural elegance, and the pure romance in the air all blend together in a way that I just adore. And, of course, it's the perfect backdrop for showcasing my love for ballet and my dedication to pink tutus! I really believe that every girl, and every woman, should experience Paris at least once in their lifetime. You just won't regret it.

Until next week!
